Zach Merrett plays as an inside mid but has an outside focused game. It’d be like having Lachie Hunter attend every centre bounce. Either he or Essendon are in denial that the guy is actually a winger. I rate the guy quite highly as a talent, but he is exposed when in rough stuff - a case of sleepy with light on syndrome. If you can look past him being soft, he is exactly what we need on the wing; but last I heard he wanted to play inside.

In this years draft, where picks are getting pushed back quite significantly, GWS or Geelong would offer a 2nd for Pruess I reckon.

Hope we trade Pruess and Sparrow for 2nd rounders to actually have some currency

Must be the medium forward rotation ahead of ANB and Hannan

I look at him with more a glass half full approach. When/if he cleans up the goal kicking, he will be an absolute jet. Has a ton of talent, excellent mark and is still young, I will back him into do it.

Operation shift Brayshaw’s foot to Freo begins then I guess

I would like Saad, but also don't rate him as highly as most here do. With that being said, I reckon the general footy fan overrates drop picks. He's definitely worth more than a second rounder, especially when the pick will get pushed back a few spots. Somewhere in the mid to late teens would be the 'fair' market value, but if he requests a trade out of contract hopefully we snag him for a fourth rounder & O Mac.
