DRAFT DAY ONE: THE 2022 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
I'm not suggesting we should've traded 37 & a future 2nd I'm suggesting we would've traded our future 1st were we that keen to re-enter the draft at that point

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Feels like you could apply all of his flaws to Max King

Dees considering big trade plays
They've been forced to use a first rounder on him, they would of planned to use their rubbish picks matching a later bid Means their remaining picks are more valuable to them

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
We played JVR in the reserves the entire year, I don't think we have a large emphasis on selecting ready to go players

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
Ultimately pairing another young key forward with JVR was too good an opportunity to pass up Clubs can go a decade being a key forward short (we'd know) They'll compliment each other well Also a bit ironic we took a key-forward with what was originally a Freo draft pick

DRAFT DAY ONE: THE 2022 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Don't think Essendon can take it, as they originally owned 37 - traded to us for Weid

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Think I read Charlie Clarke compared to him Problem is we already have a surplus of small fwds at vfl level

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
More so about the stars aligning, I.e Allan getting through to 13, and grabbing GWS' pick 19 hoping one of Jeffer or Ryan remained

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
We'll need to wait another 24 hours for that then I guess

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
We must have half a dozen first round picks according to all these trades were supposedly involved in

Dees considering big trade plays
Could it be Humphrey who we're set on, not the Poo? And we want to get one pick in front of Gold Coast? We could potentially offer the same pick package for picks 5 & 25 to Gold Coast, assuming Essendon do select Tsatas as per Twomey's phantom draft, and still have the Poo available, but Essendon are the only ones we seem to have offered it to.

Dees considering big trade plays
Fox Footy originally said it was for the Poo when the made our first offer
-
Dees considering big trade plays
We've offered 3 firsts for 4 & 22

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Grabbing one of the highly touted mids while retaining 13 for one of Jeffer or JaKob would be ideal

Phantom Drafts Thread 2022
Via the Age, sounds like everyone has NFI what we'll actually do The Age revealed on Monday that the Demons, always one of the most aggressive traders, were considering flipping a future first-round selection for the Giants’ No.19. They are being strongly linked to 195-centimetre forward Matt Jefferson, but several rival clubs would not be surprised to see them go in another direction. One name that is coming up as an alternative option is Jakob Ryan, while WA bolter Ed Allan - son of ex-Hawk and Docker Ben - and richly talented mid-sized forward Brayden George are other possibilities. George will miss all next season recovering from an ACL rupture and Melbourne’s first pick might be a tad early for him. The Dees also need another ruckman - more so a developing one - even after securing Brodie Grundy as Luke Jackson’s replacement. Is the draft’s top big man, Harry Barnett, who Melbourne have in mind if they can score pick 19? South Australian key forward Isaac Keeler is one player the Demons might consider at No.37.
