“I had an interview with (coach) Simon (Goodwin) and then they called me (Tuesday) night to see how I was going. So I had a suspicion but wasn’t really sure. “I feel obviously stoked and pumped. It’s really exciting and a dream come true.” Looks like they planted the seed the night before

Classy midfielder if possible. Sonsie probably will be taken by the Hawks. Will be interesting to see where clubs rate Goater. Could be a Dangerfield or could be a Sam Frost, I'm intrigued.

You’d have to think they have plans to release Rivers. I understand we maybe lacking a certified lockdown small/medium defender, but we’d be stacked in the backline with Hunt, Tomlinson to return

Goater & Erasmus seem to be the sliders judging by the phantoms released today and yesterday

His phantom drafts (Chesser@ 17) is what he expects to happen, his power rankings where he doesn’t include Chesser are just his overall ranking of talent -
Can't be a real comment. No Dogs supporter I know has faith in their backline.

Melbourne and the 2021 National Draft

Outside/classy midfielder the biggest need, and we know the club also acknowledged that given their interest in Isaac Smith last year From a long term perspective, a project tall forward with our second pick -
Apparently Knightmare was caught out last year ranking some kids he hadn't actually watched in any capacity, as he didn't want to pay a subscription fee for that specific competitions live feed of games

Odd that we'd go for a half back with Hunt & Tomlinson to return imo, even with Hibbo on the way out, unless we view them as a winger that is. Hobbs screams a Melbourne pick, reckon we'd desperately try to trade up if he slides.

Sonsie looks a million bucks in his highlight videos, reminds me of a player in the Merrett/Parish mould, but I can't imagine he'd fit the JT type given his flaws: The consistency, or lack thereof, is not shown from his disposal numbers, but more so his four-quarter impact and willingness to get involved with or without the ball. That could partly come down to his gut running, which plenty of the best midfielders in the game have who are on the smaller side like Sonsie at 181cm. Players like Ben Hobbs, Nick Daicos and Josh Ward work very hard without the ball and have plenty of repeat sprints in their game, whereas Sonsie can coast from time to time. https://central.rookieme.com/afl/player/tyler-sonsie/ -
Makes sense. GWS must be set on Howes.

I believe so. The full hyphenated name was read out on draft night.
