Jake Lever Take A Bow
Seen several AA teams without him. Thought it was bizarre but wasn't sure if it was my bias

Petracca post match interview
I am trying to find it on an old PC but I took a screenshot once of an interaction with Petracca on social media where he pretty much acknowledged the struggle and said they were trying to change things and to stay with us. If we do have success over the next few years I will print this off and get him to sign it aha. I felt his interview. For years when people ask who you go for and you say Melbourne you'd always get a a "oh i'm sorry" type response. Hopefully he and his band of brothers will be the ones to squash this.

How young were you when Barass last raised the cup?
I know it's Monday morning but I shamefully got a calculator out for this too aha.

Negative 20

Sacred terminology
Soccer still loves the 'pivot', single-pivot (one dm) or a double-pivot (two deep midfielders) etc. Guess the way AFL is now played may mean 'pivot' does not return to the commentator's Lexicon/Vocabulary

Majak Daw off-the-ball incident
The Article in the OP says the following; Throughout 2020 and 2021, games have been played in the right spirit, with players understanding the more casual nature of the contests compared to full-on VFL matches. There has also been considerably less video footage of games, increasing the responsibility on players to avoid committing reportable offences. The nature of this non-sanctioned match means all incidents fall outside Match Review Officer Michael Christian’s remit. Instead, stand-in footy operations manager Andrew Dillon and his team will deal with it. Daw was not immediately cited for his strike on Cox, though the AFL became aware of it on Tuesday. If the AFL uses the MRO’s grading system, the Demons rookie – who signed in March with the club – could cop a multi-week suspension.

Finals 2021
Who gets the $ from tickets sales of the finals? Imagine it's the AFL so no wonder they want crowds.

Hypotheticals
#2 for me depends on the loss itself, ie losing a Prelim by 1 point may be worse than losing a GF by 10+ goals. Leaves more of a "what if" feel to it

COVID & AFL 2021
Yeh suddenly a few hundred outlay could turn to few thousand. Not even sure I could get away due to work commitments either. either way go Dees
-
COVID & AFL 2021
Is having to quarantine for 1-2 weeks considered a restriction impeding my ability to attend a GF?

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURSÂ
Can't remember specifics, but recall some poster in a thread said the Dees were interested in bringing him in

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURSÂ
There have been Pat Lipinski rumors posted here before. Think we should sign that Weideman bloke as well.

What would you do for the club if we won the flag?
Regardless of the result - probably cry
-
Finals 2021
Yep i'm in the 30-39 bracket, even if i went AZ today I wouldn't be fully vaccinated until after the GF. If they did implement a fully-vaccinated policy at least that would reward the older dees fans that have been through more hell than some younger generations aha.

COVID & AFL 2021
Back to watching games on Zoom with friends, what a shame. That being said, not sure how much fun i would be to be around if we do make the big dance.

CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
Was a strange game, some players did have quiet periods and Melk didn't light it up - no debates there. Just think it is worth giving him one last go but might depend on how Bulldogs/Port go, maybe a late change, the old Chris Scott treatment
-
CHANGES: Rd 23 vs Geelong
This is the part of the issue this week. I'd like to see Melky having another week but understand if he's not included. Tough week for the selectors.

Finals 2021
I meant I have the GF Guarantee, but if its in WA and we make it, highly doubt I'll be able to go for various reasons.

Finals 2021
Can I roll my GF guarantee over until next year? aha

Tasmanian AFL Team
Surprised there is no Tasmanian team in the A-League, would have been a good move whilst the AFL dillydally. At least the people of Tasmania are getting an NBL team, despite it having a horrible name. "Gillon McLachlan: "The Suns are not moving from the Gold Coast, and that's definitive." So if we're sticking to 18 teams a relocation looks inevitable, at least we're performing at the right time. You'd assume that we would be safe with our history anyway but who knows. Imagine if they try merged us with St Kilda in the future, Saints on one shoulder, Demon on another aha.
