Training Ground?
There was still plenty of public land in that area (photo above just a zoomed in one), the council said the fields were underused and investment would have assisted the area and the fields could have been used by the public when not in use by MV. So there was some benefit to the area too. Either way just highlighting the difficulty in Appeasing all stakeholders, council, community groups Finding land in established areas near home-grounds

Training Ground?
Going back to 2019 Melbourne Victory had a spot in Footscray Park basically locked in a $18m academy site where the teams would train and the women, junior teams would play etc. 4 years of planning and discussion with Maribyrnong City Council, had State Government support and then faced revolt by dog walkers and local residents. A third of the 22-hectare park was to be granted to Melbourne Victory for a 21-year lease. Victory were even going to share some of the facilities with a local women's club. Now like us, seemingly stuck in Gosch's purgatory

Kayo is 4K in 2024
Also worth noting; Starting from 30 November, Binge will offer live and on-demand sport, including the AFLW Grand Final, WBBL Grand Final, Men's Big Bash League, Super Netball, World Surfing League, Women's Golf, all Kayo Minis of the F1, and Fox Sports-produced magazine shows. During the winter, Binge will also broadcast NRL and AFL games on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays with no ad breaks during play. Not sure how this all works tbh.

2025 Player Numbers
It upsets me as a world game enthusiast, because in my mind the #10 is for the playmaker (ala Messi, Maradona, Pele, Zidane, Ronaldinhho etc). 2 for JvR another one which upsets me, reminds me of the time i saw someone with a shirt at Old Trafford with the Number 2 and "GOAL MACHINE" as the name above it. I know this is not the rationale to take towards numbering in AFL but my mind is sidetracked.

Welcome to Demonland: Aidan Johnson
Slightly peculiar pick, but picks that late often speculative. Other players (former/current) derided on here for not having or showing enough mongrel, seems we've done something. At the end of the day we wanted Derksen and were offering a late pick, seems we used the late pick and got a similar player anyway. So it was clearly a void the football department wanted to fill

Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
Hopefully Pickett, Clarry and Petracca go nowhere. Already read far too many Phantom Drafts and threads this year, couldn't handle even more first round picks this time next year.

The AFL 2025 Fixture
I've done GC away previously, have some pals in Qld so usually combine as a trip. Was hoping for another Tasmanian fixture but may head back to GC again. Assume Gather round hotel and flights a little too hectic by now.

Current Television
Catwoman already exists in the 'Matt Reeves Batman universe', Sofia also received a letter from Selina Kyle (Catwoman) hinting a possible reunion in the next Batman movie. Imagine she'll just continue as herself, don't imagine they'd make her Harley Quinn, despite having a similar arc from the 'asylum' point of view.

The AFL 2025 Fixture
This is my fault, think i'll be overseas sorry. But starting us off against a lowly supported interstate team will not help the narrative.

I don't mind your posting, but this truly is unhinged behavior.

I used to play sunday league soccer (long retired) and most games were either at 11am, 1pm, 3pm. So I missed a lot of games when we were poor, which may or may not have been a blessing. I actually don't mind the Sunday 1pm even though its a bit of a graveyard, don't like getting home too late on a Sunday, like to meal prep or unwind etc.- Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
It's an interesting one. We were originally after Pick 13, so not sure what our original plan was. I would still prefer 2 mids, but guess a lot depends on development of Jeffo/Adams/Kentfield and how confident we are we'll get Kalani next year or if we can bring in Derksen.- Current Television
I’ve never seen the original series, only the meh movie from the 90s. British dramas are just a+ viewing though - The AFL 2025 Fixture
