It upsets me as a world game enthusiast, because in my mind the #10 is for the playmaker (ala Messi, Maradona, Pele, Zidane, Ronaldinhho etc). 2 for JvR another one which upsets me, reminds me of the time i saw someone with a shirt at Old Trafford with the Number 2 and "GOAL MACHINE" as the name above it. I know this is not the rationale to take towards numbering in AFL but my mind is sidetracked.

At the end of the day we wanted Derksen and were offering a late pick, seems we used the late pick and got a similar player anyway. So it was clearly a void the football department wanted to fill

I've done GC away previously, have some pals in Qld so usually combine as a trip. Was hoping for another Tasmanian fixture but may head back to GC again. Assume Gather round hotel and flights a little too hectic by now.

Catwoman already exists in the 'Matt Reeves Batman universe', Sofia also received a letter from Selina Kyle (Catwoman) hinting a possible reunion in the next Batman movie. Imagine she'll just continue as herself, don't imagine they'd make her Harley Quinn, despite having a similar arc from the 'asylum' point of view.

This is my fault, think i'll be overseas sorry. But starting us off against a lowly supported interstate team will not help the narrative.

I used to play sunday league soccer (long retired) and most games were either at 11am, 1pm, 3pm. So I missed a lot of games when we were poor, which may or may not have been a blessing. I actually don't mind the Sunday 1pm even though its a bit of a graveyard, don't like getting home too late on a Sunday, like to meal prep or unwind etc.

It's an interesting one. We were originally after Pick 13, so not sure what our original plan was. I would still prefer 2 mids, but guess a lot depends on development of Jeffo/Adams/Kentfield and how confident we are we'll get Kalani next year or if we can bring in Derksen.

I’ve never seen the original series, only the meh movie from the 90s. British dramas are just a+ viewing though

Had to say goodbye to my old cat last month, played this song too often in the last month. It's the final song in a trilogy of of songs (first two released by The Weakerthans) about the relationship between a pet owner in the throes of depression/life and Virtute the Cat. The first two songs are written from the perspective of the cat but this one the cat is basically resurrected in the mind of its recovering owner. Some very good songwriting about a fictional cat.

Watched all 5 episodes yesterday now I need to wait for weekly episodes, which I am not a fan of. Next show on my list is Shoresy (a spin off of Letterkenny) and then Silo.

Agreed, but hard to predict risers/sliders and who picks who. Yet I continue to read these threads daily. Just over a week left and then I can get back to work
