  1. I would have said don’t wake me up. Still can’t forgive them for Long disgraceful hit on Troy Simonds and Dean Wallis thuggery. Thoroughly deplorable supporter group. Long May their demise last.
  2. I am not sure Clarkson is right for North. His last few years he tried to keep the Hawks in the window and those decisions ensured longer term pain. Unlike Paul Roos he has aspiration of being a premiership coach meaning expedient rather than long term decisions are made. Roos built foundations that after eight years delivered a flag that is the only model for cluster teams like Nth. Experienced coaches past their prime Malthouse; Pagan etc can set clubs back decades. There ego can be a problem. If Clarko get the nod and he doesn’t deliver Kangas are stuffed. Bombers would be a better match for him a far better nucleus of a team
  3. Need to be recognised that the Dees are playing team every week who are treating it as a grand final. The intensity of both Blues and Pies was immense. Remain to be seen but appear to be great preparation. The boys just need to mix it up a bit we played our best when we had no choice but to throw caution to the wind. Season are defined by wins like that.
  4. Totally agree Levers a smart player. That kick was a mongrel but opened the ground up. If he had kicked down the line we would have lost.
  5. It was frustrating watching Dees exit defensive 50 in the last. Every kick without exception went to outer wing and came straight back in. Why so predictable. Thank goodness for Hunt he break lines and plays with dash. We look so much better when we show some dash and carry. There just has to be more of that. So pleased for Melksham has been bashed terribly on this site plus the podcasters have not rated him. Yes George that you. It was only when we through caution to the wind and took game on that we looked ourselves. Let hope they keep that up next week.
  6. Wow losing to Dogs put our form into perspective. Dogs a putrid today. It amazing how some teams lift against us.
  7. OMG Lions terrible effort they are gone
  8. Rippa great result for Dees beat Pies where locked in top two
  9. Go Tigers can a result go our way
  10. Totally agree sure they will be on Pies next Friday to. Tigers are a shadow of former glory why Dees need to strike while irons hot
  11. Dogs are a great offensive team but terrible defence. Marvel suits them and we inexplicably played an offensive game. Let see how cats go against best defensive unit in comp. There will be no out the backs and stroll out of midfield. Toughen up Demonlanders we have the firepower and ground advantage to take the Cats on!
  12. Yes and won’t it show up in September. Geez I hope we play them.
  13. Dissent hasn’t that gone out the window Bews gobbed the ump ignored. Hawkins miss was a highlight. Commentators already making excuses for Cats their distracted by Duckwood 350th game. They are the media darlings can do no wrong.
  14. Gawny said as much last night. Sure he will feast on Pie carcass
  15. The media have the attention span of a gnat. However it is in their interest to wax lyrical about pies; blues; bombers etc. it sell papers (do they still exist). As a smaller club where ripe for criticism. I like King comment as it pretty much discounts us and would forge an even tighter knit of the playing group. Flying under the radar is better than the boys drinking their own bath water. The thing that does annoy is the lack of accountability for poor analysis. When we win the flag King will tie it back to his analysis. A self fulfilling prophecy. Much like race tipsters who crow about individual tips but refuse to provide any profit and loss analysis.
  16. Great point. The podcast really provide great strategic insight. George and Binman countered by Mr MFCSS it classic entertainment with spot on analysis. If you just watch footy at surface level you miss nuances like loading; system; follow the money. After assessing the podcast I had no doubt Dees would win. Keep up the good work boys.
  17. Yes David King is another one. They are so reactive to individual wins and losses. Dees banked the wins and then hit a flat spot. A few injuries; loading and game road testing saw to that. BUT anyone with any nous knows if we keep cattle on field and play to our potential where the best in it. Whilst the cats have been good Dees would be quite happy with a match up on the expanses of the G. Age stop everyone and Duckwood and Danger will be exposed come September. If and it a big word Dees stay healthy and play to potential we will win it. Whilst everyone sees our draw as a liability it is actually a perfect tune up for finals. Tigers of 2018 had a soft draw and were found out when whips were cracking. Seem to me once we bank enough wins for top two the Lions game maybe expendable. If we lose that watch all the pundits drop off again.
  18. Binman called this. Great analysis spot on. The downtrodding of Dees ridiculous in the media. Rightful favourites
  19. Big Charlie ripping the cats a new one. The hype over Cats last few weeks has been ridiculous. Statement there light years between them and the rest. Egg on face for media if they slip up. Yes David King that you. Selwood and Danger are poor imitation of their former selves. Underlines how good the Dees were last week. Game not over but great to watch.
  20. Shocking umpiring enough to make you turn TV off
  21. Ha you need a new predictor mine says we win 5 in a row and finish on top!
  22. Great post totally agree the level of disrespect for the reigning premiers make the mind boggle. A season is like the Melbourne cup. Pace yourself and time your run. Dees are sitting snug behind the leader and will unleash the shackles come September. If they do the collective brain trust of the media will be eating humble pie
  23. Would there be so much noise about Fritta if he had kicked the goals. Kevin “Hungry” Bartlett made a career out of burning players. Yes it look bad but equating it to to the demise of our season (as per David King) is ridiculous. The best thing out of the weekend is just how quickly the pundits are burning us. Cats are evidently unbeatable even though we played poorly and were within a kick of them deep in the last quarter at Cat park. Goodwin must be loving it. First crack had us on the same level as Collingwood. People seem to underestimate we have the best full back; intercept mark; midfield, ruck duo and crumbing forward in comp. Cats are having a dream run with injuries so a lot can happen before finals. I guarantee our boys will peak when it matters. Yes Dees have a tough run home but nothing will battle harden a team more. Despite the piffle if we have a decent run with injuries and play to our potential no one can go with us. The fact that our recent form has been patchy has blinded many to the multiple levels of class in this team.
  24. Great assessment. Was an awesome win in difficult conditions.
