Is this stat correct (source: The Age match preview): Melbourne are competition trendsetters for tackles in 2018, averaging 70.7 per match; West Coast rank 15th with just 13.3 per game West Coast are, on average, 14.35 tackes PER QUARTER worse than Melbourne? That's about 1 tackle every 90s to 2 minutes? That is a lot of extra pressure (it seems to me, anyway) -

Parking the actual decision and its rationale to one side: whilst I understand people's need to say "there'll be other chances", the thing about that is: well, there may not be. We might win this week. But he might not make it back in. Might be injured at Casey. We might not make a(nother) GF for a long time. Sure he'll play in wins again, probably finals, and likely PFs, but nothing is certain. That's not meant to sound offensive to people trying to be sympathetic. In any case, I hope JS does his job, I hope we win, and I hope BF gets back in next week. -
Someone who is homesick notwithstanding what has been indicated about him being settled here

Assuming the players are Velocity members, do they fly in a class that allows them to accrue points? if so, they might have had enough points to upgrade or Virgin did it anyway or they're platinum/gold. Or they paid for business. -

This is all speculation, mind. Could just be lairising with the Eagles. To what end I don't know, so perhaps it is not baseless at all. I'll spew but. But then I'm not working in a FD in a prelimary final-playing team. -
That's 2 ins and 1 out if I read you correctly. Vince in. Smith to back, in BF to wing Dom out ?

When will someone let Gus know that hair is not ok. -
Finally someone mentions Vince. I half expected a Vince in (experience, body, kicking), Fritta to wing, Tyson out a bit earlier. Or does that belie my ignorance on matching up against WCE and / or his fitness? (Srs question) What's the word on his training/fitness?

Good point. 2 games in a month? (I'm sure they're training to overcome this, but still....) -

Not worried about the umpires. Besides the two sliding decisions last week, I think our luck has turned.Someone here made a good point mid season that good, winning teams who get to the ball first and play hard often see decisions go in their favour. Not worried about the temperature: 24. Players are fit and they will know what they're doing re hydration, resting, rotations, half time cooling etc etc. Will be epic contest. Cannot get a read on it. -
Good grief! I'm glad no one misread the title as "SHOW US YOUR DEMON T!TS"
-
That is class. Mind sharing your template? I hope we play Collingwood and smash them because I am considering one. Could be nice to add a magpie in the Demon's clenched fist or underfoot. Father in law and wife probably won't be amused (being Collingwood supporters)

What is your attitude toward sneaking a megaphone in? Or vuvuzela? I wonder if my mate is working on OB. I'll see if he can patch you in to the broadcast so you can start screaming BOOOOO at Weagles moves. -
Doesn't want to run a bit position over premierships. Righto, see ya no worries. Jeez I hope we win on Saturday now.
-
Collingwood. People think of no teeth and Joffa and a general difficulty evolving from primates. Melbourne. A ripping Tahbilk Shiraz and avo on Savoys in front of the fire up at Dinner Plain after a day of glorious off piste schussing I know what stereotype I'd prefer

The captain should not have had to call for the count Strip their score for the time the extra person was on the ground if that means a loss, so be it. What a schemozzle
-
yes. And in fact, the MFC players may have learned to thrive on it. From Metallica's famous song "BOOOO": Give me Boo, give me fire give me that which I desire (BOOOO!)

Caro: Dees will win. Midfield too good. MFC defence well oiled machine now. Not sure WC midfield will get quality delivery to Kenny/Darling due to Melbourne midfield pressure. WCE didn't earn trust against Collingwood, MFC by 4 goals. Bob: Demons: momentum too great, too many things going right, something NQR with WCE. Demons by 3 goals. Gleeson: Melbourne midfield pressure brutal but Demons by 2 goals. Head says Eagles, heart Demons. Niall: WCE too good, Kennedy/Darling better for run last week, WCE 2 goals.
-
Thanks for the reminder. Will do tonight.

No offence to Hunt, but based on current form, if they pick Hunt I'll spew Listening to Age Footy Podcast Caro: Dees will win. Yes with all the allegations about concocted outcomes, who do we think the AFL would rather see in a GF Richmond Eagles. yeah nah Collingwood Eagles, yeah nah Demons Tigers, yep Demons Pies, indubitably.
