Oh right. Haven’t seen that anywhere in the media.

Jason Taylor on AFL Gettable (18.11.2025)
I haven’t seen any link from anyone to us wanting to get another later first rounder? Or do you mean shifting one of them back a bit to get another pick next year?

Jason Taylor on AFL Gettable (18.11.2025)
Intrigued to hear he said no trading up or down. Would've thought it made sense to talk that up as a live option in order to keep Essendon honest so they don't manipulate their picks, regardless of whether we were actually ever going to do it or not. Still, there's a reason why he's very good at what he does so just have to back him in!

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
Huh? Lots of other clubs are linked to him.

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
Would be a disaster if Farrow, Robey, Cumming and Taylor were the four taken by Richmond and Essendon. We've been praying either Grlj or Sharp gets taken so one of the above slip through.

Forgive me for my limited knowledge of the AFLW team but isn't Bannan one of our better/more recognised players? Form slump or just overrated?

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
Our only card to play now if it goes that way is putting it out there that our pick 8 is available to the highest bidder. Another team could still be desperate to land Sharp and happy to pay up for that pick, meaning hopefully this possibility spooks the Bombers into taking him with one of their earlier two picks.

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
But that's because Kozzy and Watson are really good players. You don't reach for a completely different player that's not of the same quality simply because they play the same position.

What an incredibly unneccessary thread bump!

Order definitely changes as recruiters go to work on background and off field stuff between the end of season and the draft.- PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 14th November 2025

Those double ups are a disgrace for a team that's finished bottom 6 two years in a row.- AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8

I've got no idea why people come out with definitive statements like this when they don't actually know what they're talking about. Twomey, The Age and The Herald Sun have all independently linked us to Nairn with our early picks and said we're heavily into him. Taylor has consisently gone against the grain with early picks. Just cos phantom drafts have players in certain spots doesn't mean he'll just blindly subscribe to them. We may pick him, we may not. But "we aren't picking him" is just nonsense.- Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Taylor
The sort of damaging athletic utility the Hawks have 6 or 7 of and quickly becoming the modern prototype.- PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 12th November 2025

Read the article mate. It's all in there.- Bailey Laurie to half-back in 2026?
If you’re small and slow you’ve got to have some unbelievable strengths to make it as an AFL footballer. Not sure I’ve seen much evidence of these whenever I’ve watched Bailey at AFL or VFL level or at training. Would love to be proved wrong and a fresh start and clean slate under King might help.- AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
I’m sorry but this is garbage. Absolute garbage. Twomey’s at multiple underage games every weekend and is one of the hardest working journalists in the industry. He’s got great contacts but also does the work himself, and would know ten times as much about the draft pool every year than any of the self proclaimed experts on here.- Dawn of a new Era - Paul Guerra article 18.10.2025
Right, well you’ve shifted the goalposts then. The entire time I’ve been discussing the perceived “culture” of the club, which is largely the off field behaviours and standards of the playing group. Which is Max and the other leaders’ domain, not the board or CEO.- Dawn of a new Era - Paul Guerra article 18.10.2025
But what the players get up to on days and nights off away from the club is not “the day to day running of the club!” It’s wild to me that you or anyone could think that a board should be able to control the lives of 40 odd young men that they have no day to day dealings with. You say “change has now happened”, do you think Paul Guerra and Brad Green replacing Roffey and Pert has made a single iota of difference to the players social habits? - Cameron Nairn
