Before everyone cracks open the Moet, Twomey also said that Jackson has told Freo he’s perfectly happy there and that he thinks Jackson’s more likely to stay at Freo than leave.

Why? Players can get injured at any time, in games against opposition, intraclub games and during training. The most important thing is to try to get the players match fit by round 1. You can’t do that by just wrapping everyone in cotton wool. If we rested our best players again this week then we run into GWS in round 1 with those players having zero match play before the game, whereas GWS would’ve had two practice matches and then also played in round 0. We’d get absolutely run off our legs.

Trac’s Pep Talk & Belief in Dees Resurgence

Steven May plays off 3! I’d kill to have a swing that terrible! -
The big clue is the very start of the video where the text says “Monday 18 November”!

They like to give the state leagues whose seasons start on March 22 a month to be able to get their houses in order without disruption.

Nice little snippet on the club’s instagram where Jason Taylor talks about this in the pre-draft meeting. As some have said, if Adelaide had taken Langford we’d have taken Tauru at our first pick and then Hendo later in the draft to balance out the list. As it happened we went two “smalls” so took Johnson as the tall. Edit: @adonskihas managed to successfully embed the video above which I could not!

Amateur hour.

Haha you’ve got this the wrong way round OF. The second bit is not in question at all. The first bit, we’ll see!

I’ve got a little family connection to Jack as well so rapt to have him at the Dees. Fitness won’t be an issue, he’s an elite runner and has kept himself ticking over in the off-season. Club have earmarked that ANB high half forward spot as his role.

Well Campbell is clearly the most “ready” to debut seeing as he’s been in the AFL system for over a decade. But you’d think it’s Langford who’s the most likely to debut in round 1.

The same thing might have been said about us prior to 2021. It’s going to happen. They’ve got comfortably the best list of 25yo and unders in the competition and very few holes in their list. If you don’t realise that you’re not paying enough attention.

Yep that’s a good point 👍 Along with the huge $ Jackson and Darcy are on…

Would be heartbroken to lose him, as would my nearly 4 year old. And the worst part is Freo are so stacked and going to be good for so long that they’ve got nothing of value to give us, if the reports from @Dannyzare correct that all Freo’s Victorian boys are happy there are correct, which I’m sure they are as he usually has great mail. After academy and father/son picks a pair or even three pick 20’s doesn’t really move the needle or give us anything close to what he’s worth to us.

He said on numerous occasions in interviews last year that the state of his ankle and foot means he no longer has the agility/mobility required to play forward anymore. Won’t happen.

It’s always perplexed me how Steven May was able to play in the GF. Hammy has always seemed the one injury you can’t “play through”. -

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 12th February 2025

Righto enough is enough. The information she provided was wrong. She said McVee didn’t need any assistance from trainers being taken off the field, all I did was point out this was actually not the case. Would it be preferable if we just exist in some kind of fairyland where nobody disagrees with anyone and nobody is allowed to point out that somebody might actually be mistaken? If binman had made this mistake I’d have pointed it out, if dazzle had made this mistake I’d have pointed it out, if picket had made this mistake I’d have pointed it out. In no way was it a personal attack on GW. I didn’t insult her, I actually said I appreciate and enjoy her training reports. Not once did I insult anyone, so I’ve got absolutely no idea how that has led to you saying “if you need help leaving this forum I reckon there’ll be many volunteering to help you”. And I do try to provide training reports whenever I can attend on Wednesdays. Not to the detailed level that GW does, which, I’ll say once again, I appreciate!- 275 replies

But…the information was made up. Surely they’re just words to live by, for everyone? Anyway, let’s move on FFS. -

What are you talking about? Nobody hates insights, nobody has said they don’t appreciate the insights. Nobody has insulted anybody else! People are just a bit thrown when those “insights” provided are proven to be patently false, that’s all 🤷♂️
