Given the treatment he cops every week, Max was a ticking time bomb to get hurt in some fashion - so not unexpected, but still not an easy pill to swallow. However, I’m gutted for Disco Turner, who will obviously now remember his first game for all the wrong reasons. We wish both a quick mend.

haha Old Dee - if you have a bad feeling he's off to WA, then I'm finally convinced he will stay.

The Road Back to Success -June 2022
Neil Crompton replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just heard that Joel Smith wont be available for this dinner. -
If games were played over 2 quarters, we'd still be undefeated. Unfortunately it takes performance over 4 quarters to win a game against good opposition. Just too many passengers these last 3 weeks especially, but there has been signs of this nearly all season. So not too happy at the moment with our team, when we know they are capable of so much better. Perhaps its time for a real shake up: In: May, Dunstan, Weid, Rivers, Daw, Bedford, Harmes (sub) Out: M.Brown, Turner (injured), BBB, ANB, Sparrow, Harmes, Chandler (sub) B. Hibbert May Lever HB. Rivers Petty Salem C. Langdon Brayshaw Jordon HF. Kossie Weideman Petracca F. Bedford Jackson Fritsch F. Gawn, Oliver Viney Int. Daw, Dunstan, Spargo, Bowey Will we make this many changes? Most likely not. But after the last 3 weeks, its almost cathartic to have expressed my disappointment in this way.

Great word “spuddle”. Particularity apt for ANB yesterday - extremely busy while achieving absolutely nothing.

Loved the banner today guys. It’s just a shame we were not as good.

At the moment, I think I’d rather keep Turner in and send Lever back to Casey to gain some form. Turner looked accomplished- Lever looked second rate (again).

Based on what I’ve seen, I think Woewoden will debut before a lot of the others.
-
They just showed 5 best highlights from last round. The run down tackle by Mac Andrew was sensational.
-
What’s wrong with Daw, again?!

I bet Uncle would luv to answer that Picket - not sure he’s game.
-
Granted he got a lot of the ball, but i thought he turned it over far too often to be recalled to the ones.

We’ve talked about May and we’ve talked about Melksham, but I’m wondering what Joel Smith is currently thinking? We haven’t mentioned him. By all accounts he organised the dinner and presumably asked the 5 or 6 others to attend. So a close knit bunch of guys, friends, going to dinner. Then Joel, by all accounts, is verbally denigrated by one of said friends. If I was Joel, would I want to be playing down back with that person any more? He obviously doesn’t trust or believe in me. I think I might ask Goody if I can train with the forwards from now on. It will be interesting to see how (and if) the fences can be mended after this. I have my doubts they can.

I thought it really telling that it wasn’t our Pres, nor our football Manager, nor our Coach that fronted the media - it was our Captain that appeared to put his hand up for this role. To me, that says so much about about the man. No one better in my view.

But we won a premiership with no spectators for the majority of the year. Maybe it’s the spectators that need the noise, not so much the players.

Wasn't seen. Very disappointing. Laurie wasn't much better.

At this stage there is only 2 of us in the 21-30 age bracket WCW. No wonder we are so misunderstood.

Mental or physical?

I thought it was Hells Bells. (Which I love). Has it changed?

I’ve posted a parcel to Gus. It contains my lucky gold pen. Hope he takes the hint. And then passes it on to Jacko.

If Sam is as bad as most posters on this thread believe then you needed worry, cause he won’t play in the ones again. And hopefully we will then be spared of future derogatory comments about Sam on here. It’s not a crime if you play poorly, nor is it if you are not a star - but you wouldn’t think that after reading this thread. I’m sure he would luv to be performing to your standards, but he hasn’t yet and maybe he can’t, so accept that. Don’t blame Sam (or any player in a similar position), blame the selectors for picking him. They obviously have no idea what they are doing.
-
Then your son must luv the peace and quiet for a change on the morning after, WCW.
-
Haha that will be his defense - it was only Cotchin. He'll get off for sure.

Dustin Martin may be going to Sydney

There is something wrong with me LDV. On first read, I thought your first sentence said “… but would it be enough to live off from heroin?”, and I was going to agree with you! Then I reread the sentence. -

This bloke is giving me flashbacks! And they aren’t great ones. Is there a doctor in the house?
