  1. I’ve never felt bad and I saw the 1981 year which only one point stopped us from having a winless season. Dad got the 50’s/60’s premiership years, I got wooden spoons galore, merge talk, 2 record beltings and tanking. Had to wait until my 40’s to see a premiership. Well worth it. I don’t chose a team on when they win a premiership. If I did, I’d have a new team nearly every year. A few of my nieces/nephews were on the verge of changing teams. I bought them demons gear and took them to games. They continued to demons while all their prospective teams win premierships. Don’t regret it at all. They needed to learn that it’s not just about winning
  2. Documentary for sure. I mean it’s be a better subject than from to hell and back or year of the dogs. We already had the history of Melbourne football club. Maybe rereleased with an update. If so, I’d like to see a lot less emphasis on 2000, which they give more screen time to than some premiership years
  3. Yeah I know that. I was wondering if anyone got them before this happened
  4. Has anyone ordered anything and had it delivered? Only one of my Oder had the status as sent, my premiers t-shirt. I wanted to do the right thing and buy the DVD from the club. But I’m dying to watch it again. If I’d bought it at jbhifi I’d be watching it now 😕
  5. 😂My brother (who’s getting the premiership tattoo on his bum “So does this mean you’re getting one on one of your breast?” 🙄 Me (who’s never had a tattoo in her life) “Err… no…”
  6. I was wondering this too. Lol technically this is wrong as the cup was not invented until 1959, hence why people still say “winning the flag.” Technically it’s our 4th cup, unless you count those reproduced ones (I don’t.)
  7. I wonder how Jordan’s jumper comes into this scenario 🤔
  8. Got to give her credit. She said “I really like what the bulldogs are doing..” when we know as a demon she didn’t like it at all. It’s good to commentate without being biased (hint hint Eddie.)
  9. Exactly what we need in this age where COVID is hurting club’s profitability
  10. If anyone has a YouTube account, I would love it if you could make a video of our highlights to this song. You’d have my eternal thanks ❤️
  11. I ain’t touching that ew
  12. My heart goes out to you. My uncle is dying of cancer. He’s been open about it but doesn’t like anyone to fuss over him or give him preferential treatment. He also doesn’t like to be reminded of it. I think he just likes to keep it out of his mind as much as possible. While I understand your anger, please understand that it’s something she may have been instructing to accept herself. I’m sure it wasn’t anything against you or anything.
  13. They had one on the Saturday and Sunday but it sold out. I wanted the hoodie with the cup is now insignia. Waiting for it to be back in stock
  14. I never once cried when I thought we were going to lose it. I was scared and breathing heavy in the 3rd quarter. When we started kicking goals like no tomorrow, the joy was outstanding. I can’t say exactly when, but towards the end, my eyes just started welling up. Almost involuntary, a tear slid down my cheek. I finally turned to my father and said “I think we have it.” That got him and he started to cry. We just hugged and cried through the rest of the match. Lots of tears when the cup was held up. Like a moment I was convinced my dad or uncle would never see. I guess there was also an element of my uncle being able to see this before he passes. Post match celebrations we settled down and enjoyed it. But then they started playing “Nothing’s gonna stop us now” by Starship, I don’t know I just started again. My dad was confused. I think it was just the lyrics that got to me. “Build this dream together, standing strong forever, nothing’s gonna stop us now…” It just sums our team and what they went through and what they achieved perfectly. I don’t expect everyone to be that emotional, but I was wondering what was the moment that bought you to tears, if any.
  15. How about me, your long-lost sister? 😉
  16. Do you think it will help inspire the women? That we went one more than they did (well two more, technically.) Will it dull the interest in the women’s competition for you or will it make you hope that they too can achieve this greatness. My friend at work has no interest in the women’s despite his team winning one. Some suggest that some teams are so desperate for success, they’ll take any kind of premiership they can get. I don’t subscribe to this, but what does everyone else think. Just the truth. No need to be rude but be honest.
  17. So are you. Hilarious even 🤣😂
  18. Ah lucky. I went in there and talked to the owner (son in law.) Very friendly
  19. Please tell me that’s your belly
  20. Yup that’s the guy. Overrated. 154 game? Didn’t even make it to 209. 293 goals is good but hardly a huge record in hawthorn considering Dunstall and Hudson. Captained Victoria? If not so what? Virtually any Hawthorn player in that team was guaranteed a premiership with the team they had. All Australian, his teammates made him look good. We would have been on their interchange. There were way better people on his team. He was overrated. As for coaching Sydney, they were in the sink at that stage. An Auskick coach could have got the job at Sydney
  21. My younger brother claims he’s getting this with Premiers 2021 on his butt He claims he can’t as the tattoo parlours aren’t open atm. Is that true? Can anyone prove he’s chickening out?
  22. Never liked him. Overrated player remembered for once kick that led to a grand final where they got thrashed. No wonder unlike Ayres he never got a coaching gig
  23. On Sunday, I went to my local supermarket, wearing my demons scarf. Out the front there was a guy in a magpie hat. I looked at him and he at me. Then he just looked back at him phone and continued on. For the first time I ever felt a superiority over another supporter. For once, I didn’t feel like there was going to be a put down comment or a smart alec remark or even a rolling if the eyes. I’ve experienced a lot of those in the path. I think this is a feeling you can only get when you win a premiership. I like it.
  24. Sorry but I can’t afford to be that generous
