  1. Just the thought of dating dating purely on race seems almost racist. Isn’t it inside what counts? 😉
  2. Was so tempted to buy a weg 1964 premiership. It just didn’t feel that right having one from a year where I wasn’t even born yet. I think it would just be a depressing reminder of our drought. Now I’m thinking of getting one to go with my 2021 one.
  3. I’d really enjoy reading this forum more if there weren’t ads in between telling me where I can find my “Asian sweetheart.” 😏
  4. I just watched it on mute with this song playing:
  5. I might have to. I looked at my account and it simply says “shipped”
  6. What they’ve done is something no other team in our history has done. Break a 50+ year drought. Never since even in our early years did we have to wait this long for a premiership
  7. Did weg art send you an email? I never got one back and am fearful they took my money and sent nothing
  8. I’ll never forget these guys every single one of them.
  9. DVD finally listed as shipped. Not holding my breath, but it’s a start
  10. Then they were idiots. Flower was more deserving than any of those
  11. So glad Barass lived to see it. I heard his health and perception isn’t the best nowadays. Sadly Addams, Lord and even Crompton missed out. I want to see the reaction of the 90+ fan that Max FaceTimed
  12. Brownlow is one thing. But we as a club only gave him one best and fairest. Look at the players who won over Flower, Steven Smith, Steven Icke, etc
  13. Lol at least you have offsprings 😏
  14. He was never as good as Flower. The fact that Flower only won one best and fairest (1977.) Especially when you see some questionable players who won it over him
  15. Biggest joke was when Healy won a best and fairest instead of him
  16. To me Robbie Flower was the man who had red and blue running through his veins. Unlike many of our great players, Robbie had been a demon fan all his life. This was the only club he loved and the only one he ever wanted to play with. After his retirement, he pretty much kept out of public spotlight, until the merger talk started. I was just so proud he was one of the rare demon sons that was vocal in his opposition of it. I wouldn’t have expected any less from him. Me and my older brother used to have Greg Well’s number (11). But in 1981, we switched to 2, Robbie Flower’s number. We made sure our younger brother was always number 2. Especially as he got our old hand-me-downs. My dad lived through Barassi and all the great years and he still says Robbie Flower was the best Demon he ever saw. I was lucky to get his autograph several times. I was devastated when he died.
  17. Being a shopaholic, I love going into stores to look around. I love jbhifi immensely. Going to the sport dvds was always embarrassing. You’d see all the premiership dvds and there was…. nothing. All teams would have their dvds. Not there really was nothing they could release for us. All we got were memorable matches (from seasons that ended in defeat.) Not even our 1987 and 1989 night grand finals. I don’t blame anyone, there was nothing to release. But now we will have our own little section among them, premiers DVD, victory pack, season highlights, etc. Just nice to be there. Same with the AFL shop. You’d get to the DVD section and know there was nothing there for us.
  18. For years I used the think that about Footscray. 2 grand finals. One win, one loss that’s that. 96 years and never finished first. Their only premiership was in 1954, before cups were introduced and no tv, so limited footage available. Now they have 4 grand finals and two wins. Still sad effort for a team that’s been here since 1925.
  19. They had a great coach, but they seem to get rid of good coaches in favour of former players. Stupid really
  20. Just came across this video. I do feel for him, but I will admit that watching it makes me feel even better. All the things he’s saying were the same stuff I was saying for years. Seeing a team win a premiership is like seeing your best friend kiss the guy you like. You give the thumbs up, but deep down you’re thinking “why not me?”
  21. “At least I’ve seen my team win a premiership” ”When was the last time Melbourne won a premiership” Now they have no comeback when we beat them
  22. The problem is that also means they didn’t have to play there in 2005, after finishing second last in 2004. So in an era where they finished second last and won a premiership, they still never had to make the trip. Them playing well or bad doesn’t seem to have any effect of them not playing there. Kardinia park is a graveyard for us, yet in all seriousness, I can’t remember a season we haven’t played there. Even after 2011 we had to play a game there. Perhaps someone could tell me when was the last time we didn’t play there. It seems completely unfair
  23. https://www.collingwoodfc.com.au/news/380365/by-the-numbers-pies-and-cats 1999. The last time they had to play down there. Really? Why do they get this preferential treatment from the AFL? They’re the only team that doesn’t have to wear an alternative strip (changing the position of logos is not alternate.) I can’t remember the last time we didn’t play Geelong in Geelong. So even during their post premiership years they didn’t have to give Geelong a home game. Totally unfair
  24. I always thought he had what Buckley had with Malthouse. A ready made team waiting for him. A lot of the team are still there from their 2007 effort. With that team any coach could win a premiership. I actually wanted Thompson as a coach until, well, you know…
