I really think Sheedy for 3 years with Mark Williams (Sandy) as an assistant preparing to take over is the best thing. His record is outstanding. Give him a go. VINEY has indeed said he is ready to coach. Said it on triple m before the hawks game a week ago. Said Voss wasn't ready and he only feels now after 3 years assisting that he is ready for a top job. I REALLY hope we interview him and give him a go over everyone else.

Rumoured to have met with Sheedy. He said he was with a book publisher. But yes I think the news is a top option for tonight. But he also said today he would not be appointed to be coach of anywhere till the end of the year. He may shake hands on it but wont sign. So unless he loves a good lie then he didn't meet with Melbourne and he won't be signing for some time.

Ben Holland and Bizzel are on a low amount. Bizzel is very good. I agree to get rid of Robbo, White. Let Yze wind out his career. He found really strong form after coming back. He had one game with 38 possesions. To get rid of Johnstone or Bruce would be the stupidest things the MFC could ever ever ever do. They would leave and win brownlows. I admit Johnstone needs a good kick up the butt but you do not get rid of him.

Just when I was getting excited about the future of the ckub. Something kicks Melbourne in the face again.

It won't happen but I wish it would. Sheedy for 3 years, Viney steps in after that. I ideally want Viney now but im assuming it wont happen. So I hope a plan like that does.

Considering Riley is constantly signing his praises and Buckley + Newton have been all the talk about exciting young kids at Melbourne on SEN. I highly highly doubt he will miss anything for brown and ward. We are losing, youth will get call over old always.

Everytime im on here I see people saying trade Green and Bruce. ARE YOU ALL INSANE!! They are the only talent we have the only reason they should get traded is that they deserve a good supporting cast!! I guarantee if we trade them, especially Bruce, he will win a brownlow and we will look like IDIOTS!

But so many Melbourne players do not do a good job. Why the added annoyance towards Pickett. We can't keep blaming injuries. None of them are doing what they are paid to do. So why does the football world and Melbourne supporters single out Pickett. Its not about sentiment. But no one else has been any good this year so why not play Pickett, he at his worse is better than 25% of them atm.

Well he has been called up to play Sydney this week because as Riley said "we couldn't ignore his terrific form". I liked Jaded comments but yours have just been a put down. He is not coaching anywhere. Melbourne, Essendon, Fremantle, Carlton. His manager notifed all the clubs that has contacted him and so no deal. He is definately not coaching ANYWHERE in 2008.

As the person who started this topic. A very pro-pickett person. I must say very well said and I agree with alot of what you have displayed.

I still hold a candle to the Miller of old. Im hoping a new coach will bring back his bite.
