I’m getting run with player vibes. Similar to Sidebottom last season for Collingwood.

He just signed a new deal last year. But Treacy is the one we should be getting in the ear of. Freo have signed up a lot of their best players. And Brayshaw is tipped to re sign. So the cap must be almost bursting. Fyfe and Walters OOC this year so will give them some more cash to play with. if I was them I’d be trading Darcy. Give Jackson the solo ruck role and watch him be the best ruck in the league in next few years.

Unless he’s gong to politely ask Ben King to vacate the number.

I heard several houses in he vicinity have collapsed due to the ferocity of this session.

I was more coming from a point of view that he wasn’t perhaps the answer to the ruck/forward option. He doesn’t even really play that role at Hawks.

Chol for me lacks a bit of competitiveness. It seems that way anyway. Maybe it’s just his relaxed approach. One thing though is for Hawks he isn’t rucking much. Weddle taking more ruck contests at times. Seems the type when the chips are down and the team is struggling he really struggles. Not sure he was the answer. But would be better than Fullarton that’s for sure.

I don’t want to play Hunter again. But he’s on 199. So perhaps they’ll get him 200 against the old mob. But maybe would have been announced by now?

Laurie would be stiff to miss. Played a good game last week.

The funny thing is that articles are being written saying basically Melbourne want him out. And we’ll pay $ and a pick to do so. Same articles tell us how good he will be at other clubs and who needs him more etc. He’ll be a demon in 2025.

I like the Schultz acquisition. However I think the media are overplaying it. I also think they slightly overpaid as a F1 was definitely enough. Although they’ll be happy to have got a player who can impact up forward immediately. And also we haven’t lost any best 22 players. Grundy is one of the better rucks in the league. However it didn’t work with Gawn. And with Grundy Jordon Harmes and Dunstan going we have certainly lost depth.

It’s been always reported this is a seperate contract between Collingwood and Grundy. Don’t blame the pies for having a crack at getting out of it but they’ll end up paying him regardless. If somehow they’re off the hook you suspect Grundy will be taking a pay cut to leave us.

Apparently we are also keen on Connor O’Sullivan. Not sure we’ll reach with a top 5 pick but no doubt if we get 2 x top 10 picks we’ll have him in the frame. I see he’s rated around pick 10.

Any murmurs that one of Tmac or BBB take a deal to retire early? Both seem physically pretty much done.

I think if we get a 2nd and the whole of the Grundy $ off the books we take it and be happy with it. Probably fanciful to think we’ll get a decent young player out of it.

I was at the Tigers/North game on Saturday. Taryn Thomas is a deadset gun. Has the ability to be a top liner. Would be a great get if he gets everything right. But I get the feeling north will be doing their best to keep him.

Grundy will 100% be seeking a trade. The Sydney recruiter said they’d have a look if he was available. Expect Geelong and Port will also be interested.

I actually like Cornes. It I think he likes to stir the pot. He does it quite often. Speaks about loyalty and calls out players. Then applauds anyone wanting to leave their club for port. I’d say he may be ITK. But of course port would be into Pickett. I wouldn’t read too much into this just yet.

Nah definitely grew up in WA. Moved over to SA to be with uncle Byron and go to school I believe. So other than Byron and maybe a few others would have way more family and friends in WA I’d have thought. But I guess doesn’t stop him from wanting to be to SA.
