  1. Three cheese for this thread!
  2. With this offer, Freo is sending a clear message: It will win the next 5 flags with its current list, and that Hogan would merely be surplus, maybe for the bench. Makes sense to me. Better put some money on that Freo 2019 premiership, and get a nice full back tattoo. Of Peter Bell. and Fyfe. Together, in a warm embrace.
  3. LOL. Um, no? Offers like these only really prove that Freo is a powerhouse club, led by a great, tall GM and a smart coach, and filled to the brim with talent... ...Oh, wait.
  4. This is such great news, especially when it (understandably) seemed like it wasn't going to happen. Vanders is the sort of player that epitomises our new approach. No fear. We need guys like this to burst through the pack and to cause a few bruises here and there. It'll make sure that others continue to follow suit, and we'll never, ever be disrespected again. Huge call for Vanders to stay here in light of his family situation, but it speaks volumes about his character, and that of the club. He sees what we all see, and he wants to stay and be part of it. Seriously though, imagine this beast after a solid pre-season! He's had a taste of success, and now he wants some more! So. Damn. Excited! ?
  5. Feared!!?
  6. The man's not an animal!!! I'd rather play for Freo than be caught wearing the same suit twice (or thrice) over a weekend!
  7. bahaha - absolutely Although, I did once come across a person with the last name '[censored]' - who insisted it was pronounced Coke. We agreed to disagree.
  8. This alternate ending is both sad and hilarious! The Taylor Swift addition is ?
  9. Haha as a lawyer, I'm halfway there!
  10. lol this is hilarious, and way more likely!!
  11. ...Is it just me, or does this scenario seem perfectly set up for: [Jesse Hogan is about to sign at the Dockers, he looks up, and a montage plays in his mind] [Jesse smiles as he reminisces about the good times at the Dees] [Jesse looks to the East...] [Cue music, maybe some clichƩ 80s love song, or Al Green 'Let's Stay Together', for example] [Jesse gets in his car, and drives cross country through the night, top down, hand tapping on the door] [He arrives in Melbourne, parks the car hurriedly across a few parking spaces, runs across Gosch's Paddock] [Jesse runs towards Goody and the boys, who are also running towards him] [Group hug, tears etc. Goody tells Jesse he never doubted him for a second] [Jesse re-signs for a bajillion years] [We win 5 flags] [Fin]
  12. Totally agree, I'd love to keep Vanders, but it looks completely out of our control. What we should be doing is trying to convince his mum to stay in Melbourne...
  13. I've read a lot of speculation re Hogan/May, but, finally, someone that cuts through the crap - and in one sentence! Love your work @Redleg
  14. GREAT NEWS - thanks for sharing. Our 2019 premiership winning team will look fantastic with Hogan in it.
  15. Completely agree. I'd love for him to stay, and am sure he'd add value next year, but if we can maximise our return now and pursue May plus some outside midfield pace, we are in golden era, elite territory.
  16. I'd rather front a team of 21
  17. Pedo is the perfect example of making the most of your capabilities. He didn't have the gift of speed/height/skills that some of the other guys do, but he performed when he was called upon, and always gave is all. It's clear that he loves the club, and I'm sure it was better for his presence. I wish him all the luck, seems like a he's a pretty nice guy, and did well to roll with his nickname!

Terrible kick and decision making skills, but was at times kind of handy. I think he tried hard, and truly sought redemption for the Mills hit, but the FD clearly has confidence in our list, and believes we can free up room to make it elite. Bugg seemed to try, I wish him all the best.
  19. I'm loving this thread! It's easy to forget how far we've come, and that this is only the beginning. Much like the Hawks' 2011-2015, I think we'll be a heavy presence that table for 2019-2024. I'm so pumped for 2019!!!
  20. It would be great to see Maxxy take the Brownlow Medal home. I'm clearly biased, but, of the main contenders, I think he's been the most consistent throughout the season, the most vital to the success of the team, and the fairest. Plus I put some money on him when he was $12, so I'm hoping for a little money to get some drinks to forget Saturday's game...
  21. I just walked through and had a bevvy, it was buzzing - made me feel human again haha
  22. Hell yeah to this thread @Gorgoroth It's not the way we wanted to end the year, but we must not lose focus of what we achieved this year, and what we have set up for the future. Bring on 2019!
  23. Is this the comeback? Dare to dream? ?
  24. This is what we need to focus on. There's so much negativity already, even though before this series we had no finals experience at all, and here we are in a prelim. We'll be back in 2019, and we'll be ready to go even further.
  25. That Hannan bounce followed by the Darling bounce just shows today wasn't our day.
