  1. Is this the comeback? Dare to dream? ?
  2. This is what we need to focus on. There's so much negativity already, even though before this series we had no finals experience at all, and here we are in a prelim. We'll be back in 2019, and we'll be ready to go even further.
  3. That Hannan bounce followed by the Darling bounce just shows today wasn't our day.
  4. True, I mean fire in the belly sort of stuff.
  5. Look, we can still win (although unlikely), but that's not the point. We've already surpassed expectations this year. So our buildup for next year is what truly matters. We need to show that we won't stand for this. If we're going to go down, we have to salvage some dignity and at least send the message that we'll be back next year, a little older, wiser, fitter, angrier...
  6. An ominous/exciting prospect, depending on how you want to read that haha
  7. On the upside, I saved a fortune in airfare. Actually contemplated going west to see us roast the Eagles. Imagine those poor souls who have had to endure this... At the ground... With 59,500 Eagles booing and laughing in their faces.
  8. The great news is that we actually can't play worse than this. Right? How eerily similar is this to last night? We have just got to come out firing and keep things simple. No more fancy crap. Just work hard and execute passes!
  9. Fed Square is looking pretty sweet! Lots of red and blue, heaps of energy. Tons of sunshine, too - it's a perfect day for a rousing win by the Dees to storm into the GF!!! ?? @CityDee
  10. The break is no good. The Tigers looked soft, and probably came in believing a win was theirs by right, so they didn't respect the Pies, to their demise. We're coming in at full pace, full of fire, and the Eagles, much like the Tigers, probably won't have that same fire in the belly. It's imperative that we hit them early (like the Pies last night) and don't let up.
  11. I'm heading to Fed Square to watch the game, I hope the place is nothing but red and blue. 2 hours to go! ?
  12. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for us to win today, and I think we will, but win or lose - this is a new team, with a new mentality. There is no fear anymore. This is a brotherhood where the boys back one another, and give no quarter. And it was born this year, probably out west in R22. And now we get to go back. It's pretty fitting. But still, there is a huge new era ahead, a win today, and a flag (!!!) would really just be icing on the cake. Go Dees! ??
  13. Great read from someone who will forever be a part of the Melbourne that rose from the ashes of a very dark chapter in our history. Great man. I'm not teary, you're teary.
  14. If we get through, 'underdog' will suit is perfectly. The Tigers were beatable, the Pies are beatable. Would be a great matchup, and a killer GF. Now let's get to making it there! Can't wait for tomorrow!
  15. There was a time when we were too scared/stupid to make these calls!
  16. Absolutely, we're going to need that extra push off HB, and Smith will add the extra height and intercept power.
  17. Totally agree. Heartbreaking for Fritter, but we'll almost certainly see him in the GF when we get through. I don't mind the change though, it makes sense. I looking forward to seeing it pay off.
  18. Richmond has a lot of Vietnamese eateries, but not particularly famed for its yum cha. Minh Tan 2 is nearby, you could easily cut through Church Street to get there. 10 minutes walk tops. Otherwise, you could head into the city to visit Shark Fin House, which is famous for its Yum Cha. You could tram it down there pretty easy, or walk 30-40 minutes.
  19. I'm glad someone else mentioned this. I loved this moment as well. Says so much about the club at the moment, and how we know exactly where we are headed, not just now, but in the future. Fearless, positive stuff. I also loved Viney's work in getting the kick to Gus for a goal. We really needed that, and the group I was in at M54 went ballistic!
  20. Good teams can win ugly when required. It shows how good we are, because we're deadly when we put it all together. And as the group develops we'll put it all together more often and with greater intensity!
  21. The kid works his guts out. His pressure was fantastic, and that 50 metre goal immense. We wouldn't have gotten that from Garlett.
  22. I just so happen to live in Hawthorn, so got to look at their salty faces as they got off the 70. Sang the song on the tram, it was brilliant.
