  1. Just like a chocolate milkshake - only CRUNCHY!
  2. Onya Gus! Really happy that you decided to stay a Demon.
  3. The inequity of this is so sus. It sucks. Really should be some sort of enquiry into this.
  4. Agreed, although I think adding blue socks would be a nice touch. Might as well go for the perfect visual blur between teams and umps.
  5. North seriously soft against the Cats tonight. Disappointing. They were seriously physical against us at Docklands a few weeks ago. Just ask Langdon and Macca. North seem to have given up tonight.
  6. Mordor - that's funny! I've got my ticket, can't wait for Thursday night. Looking forward to sitting and barracking shoulder to shoulder with two bays full of faithful Dees supporters at Mordor on Thursday night.
  7. So many gutsy saves in the goal square. What a champion. Unforgettable.
  8. That's terrible if the seats in the 2 bays set aside for the Cats v Dees game for Melbourne supporters are only 20% sold! How did you find that out? If it's true then the MFC really should advertise to supporters better.
  9. Wanting to go to the Cats v Dees game on 7 July - so keen to see the Dees win down there with my own eyes, I tried in vain to buy a ticket on Ticketmaster. The site said none available. Ticketmaster really do make it difficult to purchase tickets... I rang the MFC and they were super helpful. They gave me a link and a code word. The link took me straight where I needed to enter the codeword and boom - $63 later and I've got a ticket. Can't wait.
  10. Thanks for being a Demon Majak. All the best for the future.
  11. Loved the run from centre bounces and the relentless manic pressure last night. Reminded me of last year's finals...
  12. Me too! Wishing you all the best mate. Burn baby burn!
  13. Loved having a few Sherbets tonight DemonWa. Allows the creative juices to flow. Glad you enjoyed my litracha!
  14. We will not just beat them, we will murder the filth on Queens birthday 2022. I just feel it in my bones. We are a club with values and principles with their backs against the wall. We are a club prepared to sanction and suspend those who step outside those principles. We have been blasted 24-7 since Sunday in the press for all the wrong reasons, when there is so much going right. So many supporters, members, players, coaches, and admin staff and everyone else who loves our club will be bleeding red and blue right now. Angry as [censored]. Channelling this anger and applying it to playing football will be the secret weapon. Against a club whose questionable values and principles failed to suspend a player for a not so dissimilar transgression in another country. Against members of the public. The value differential between the two sides is stark. And this is key. Time to make a stand Melbourne. Time to murder the filth. Time to turn up and finally enjoy an old fashioned epoch-making Melbourne MCG slaughter of the filth of truly epic proportions. Don't have tickets and want to witness the murder? I have 2 tickets I bought 2 weeks ago that I no longer need, as I've accepted an invitation to the murder from the hallowed seats of the MCC for only the 2nd time in my life. The 2 adjacent tickets are on the 2nd row, 4th level, Olympic stand, next to the MCC on the wing. I'd hate them to go to waste. They cost me $53. I'm happy to give them away for free to a Demonlander so that they can also witness the murder with their own eyes. 1st Demonlander to PM me will get the tickets. Go Dees!
  15. Not sure if this fits the title of humble but, here's my take anyway, I went to Windy Hill. It was 1990. My "Essendon friend" invited me to the Essendon-Melbourne match, and having a hunch that the Dees were a chance to knock off the top-of-the-ladder Bombers on their home turf, I accepted the invitation. Little did I know what was about to transpire... We arrived at the ground and walked to the standing room area in the the outer on the wing. I looked around and became aware that I was surrounded by Essendon supporters. I had expected this, and steeled myself for the contest. The game began and for the first 3 quarters, Essendon were in control. At 3/4 time, Darren Bennett had only kicked one goal. With 15 minutes to go in the last quarter, the score was Essendon 104, Melbourne 70. I had remained resolute and refused to admit defeat. I had been receiving sledges all afternoon from the surrounding Essendon supporters - including my "Essendon friend". However, the final 15 minutes of the 4th quarter were something to behold. Ricky Jackson was on fire and he would finish the game with 4 goals. Strawbs O'Dwyer, Steven Stretch, Brett Lovett, Todd Viney, Garry Lyon, Jimmy Stynes, Graeme Yeats, Danny Hughes, Earl Spalding, and Sugar Healy all pulled the stops out. Melbourne's pressure was immense! But Darren Bennett was absolutely possessed! He booted 4 in the last quarter and was the match winner. At the 15 minute mark I yelled "There's still time - GO DEES!". Raucous laughter ensued from the surrounding Bomber supporters. With each ensuing Demon goal I repeated GO DEES! - there's still time! When we eventually hit the front, I was shaking, and there was a beautiful silence around me. This repeated with an even more perfect silence with yet ANOTHER Melbourne goal. When the siren went, I couldn't believe what I had just witnessed. I was elated. I walked with my "Essendon friend" from the outer down the steps to exit the ground. BANG! I was king hit in the back of my head! Fully lost my balance and only just regathered it near the bottom of the steps. I turned around and yelled who did that? Nobody owned up. I invited my "Essendon friend" to the pub to watch the replay but he declined. I went and enjoyed watching a memorable Demon victory at a local Essendon pub. Afterwards, I made it home safely on public transport. I never spoke with my "Essendon friend" again. Make of this story what you wish. However, if you want to see the Dees run riot against the Bombers and watch Darren Bennet kick 4 goals in the last quarter at Windy Hill 1990, click on this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=chP6t-wz80g Let's hope the Dees bring this against the Swans tomorrow! Go Dees
  16. I was lucky enough to be there with my oldest Demon mate (Dave) when Max said this. Unforgettable and inspirational.
