  1. Great showreel caddypgt! . Thanks for putting this together and sharing. Great tribute. RIP Colin Sylvia.
  2. Gotta love the LOYALTY! Fantastic that Vanders has decided to stay. His "Crush, Kill, Destroy" modus operandi will continue to lift and inspire his team-mates and seriously place fear into the minds of opposition players. Might just tip the loyalty scales in our favour with a few other players thinking about leaving...
  3. Damn straight. Whilst I'm shattered with today's result, I was more shattered with last year's result. Point is: we're on the up! I'm rapt with being able to see us win two finals this year. Spewin' we didn't go further this year but...can't wait for next year - GO DEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. 1st quarter, with 15 mins and 16 secs to go (15:16)...enjoy!
  5. Frosty's monster torpedo kick-in from the goal square early in the 1st quarter which precipitated a classic lightening passage of play resulting with the 1st Demon goal of the arvo and re-setting the tone of the game.
  6. Great article. Love reading this. GO VANDERS. GO DEES.
  7. The egg bit is hilarious and starts at about 14:30 but I enjoyed the whole show. Funny! I hope Bernie chooses to stay on the show... http://www.afl.com.au/video/2018-09-12/new-show-footy-on-the-futon-recap
  8. GOT EM! 2 tickets in the Olympic stand near the fence (forward pocket). Took 30 mins in the queue. I AM RAPT! Cannot want for Friday. GO DEES!
  9. I'm still waiting...Not again...!!!!!!
  10. I concur. OMac's kicking was on FIRE on Sunday - some pinpoint lengthy accuracy setting up multiple plays and goals . His form along with the Snowman's against GWS bodes well for the finals...
  11. Kent, Vandenberg and Hannan. Could moonlight as a solicitors firm.
  12. Made it! The culmination of yet another season of hard won incremental improvement. Success by inches. I am SO going to enjoy this September with the DEES in the FINALS!
  13. That's fair. Offender returns to play only if victim does. Fair in a Grand Final too.
  14. “Stoppages” - What a Balls Up! What happened to the iconic ball up? It used to be an effective tool used by umpires to clear congestion. Unfortunately balls up have become less effective at doing this due to delays caused by “stoppages”. These stoppages allow players valuable time to catch their breath, return to pre-determined positional “structures”, occupy strategic territory and prevent opposition players from finding space on their own. Far too often the delays to balls up caused by stoppages contribute to the very congestion that balls up were designed to clear. There are four kinds of stoppages that have crept into the game. I have listed the types, a short description of each and possible solutions to these below: RUCK STOPPAGES: Balls up are delayed until each side nominates who will participate in the contest. SOLUTION: Ball it up straight away! Abolish the nomination rule, allow any 2 opposing players to contest the ball up and penalise any 3rd man up. COMMERCIAL STOPPAGES: “Balls up” at centre bounces are currently delayed after each goal is scored for a 30 second television commercial break. SOLUTION: Restrict after-goal television advertisements to a maximum time of 15 seconds. VIDEO SCORE REVIEW (VSR) STOPPAGES: Play is far too often delayed waiting for the video referee’s inconclusive decision requested by a goal umpire unsure about a score. SOLUTION: Abolish VSR, double the number of goal umpires from 2 to 4. IN PLAY STOPPAGES: Multi-player rugby style mauls occur far too often and are a blight on the game. SOLUTION: Ball it up and clear the congestion before disputed possession develops into a multi player scrum. The “Ball Up” was designed to clear congestion. However it only creates further congestion if its use by umpires is delayed due to stoppages. Stoppages therefore must be reduced to allow balls up to occur when necessary and without delay. This will help to reduce the chronic congestion we too often see today and allow the great AFL game to flow more fluently.
  15. Ha Ha! I've just had hernia surgery - when I read this I laughed so much I nearly re-ruptured it. Oh the pain...
  16. Good choice by Gus and perfect timing for the Dees! Will lift Demon players and supporters spirits alike and provide an infectious and much needed optimism leading into the big match this week against the Crows. GO DEES!
