PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Port Adelaide
I am pumped for the announcement and bloody nervous at the same time. I think there might be a surprise selection - could Petty or Keilty get named? Will all three of Viney, Jones and Melksham get up...it s nerve wracking.

Steven May Suspended for 1 Match
Does anyone know what time the tribunal sits? Iโm reasonably confident he will get off

POSTGAME: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
Havenโt read all above posts so excuse me if mentioned before but I thought Steven May was fantastic in the last quarter and showed exactly why we chased him. I canโt wait to see him and Lever in the same backline. As an aside Neville Jetta is the best small defender in the comp...by a long way!

GAME DAY - AFLX Scratchings Match
What a huge load of turd. I watched about two minutes...almost spewed. So glad MFC treated it with the disdain it deserved

Round 1 team 2019
OMac if fit will be picked ahead of Frost every time. He is a better player and I find it strange that many on here prefer Frost

Goodwin signs on until end of 2022

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
This is a excellent article about Mayโs journey. He seems like a quality human. He is going to be huge for our team and the club as a whole. Steven May is the bloke who minds the huge forward that we havenโt had for so long. If he was at the club this year we wouldnโt have lost in Geelong and probably not against Sydney or Port either. He makes us a hugely better side even taking into account the loss of Hogan. I really believe that we are one of the best three teams in the competition going into next year along with Richmond and WCE. May adds that surety we have lacked. I canโt wait to see our backline when they are all fit. Him, Lever, Hibberd and Jetta working together will be magic to watch. Some serious hard nuts!

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Chook in Perth has always proved to be a reliable source. I met the bloke after our win against west coast last year and the bloke loves our club. I wish he was wrong but get the feeling g we are best to lose Jesse for what we can get. Whatever can facilitate the May deal and a little bit extra will do

He did live with Mitch Clark for a while if I remember correctly

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Something doesnโt seem right here. Surely if this was true the Melbourne based media would be running with this by now. Doesnโt add up. Basil and Bell know each other well from their time working at the same radio station 6PR. Plenty more to play out me thinks

Those traits will be taken into account by possible suitors

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Also one more question - does Hogan have go in him? Sometimes I am unsure

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Many said they won trade week. My point is you said that you want us to be tough at trade week and many thought that both of those teams were last year. All that matters is we improve our list. Donโt get fixated on the one trade. Mahoney and Taylor have proven themselves very astute operators.

As I said we will have to agree to disagree. For me it is about winning premierships not trade week. Remember who was touted as the big winners of trade week last year - Port and Essendon. Howโd that work out?
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
We will have to disagree. It is about the list being better next year than it was this year. That is the only outcome that matters. Proving you are tough in trade week doesnโt win you premierships.

Agreed but will not be a direct swap

But as others have stated it is about ensuring the trade period is a positive gain overall. This will be a huge deal but with one eye on the end game this deal is not the be all and end all. It plays a large part in ensuring we get what we want to move on the players/picks we want coming in. No point delaying this deal to the end and achieving nothing
