I haven't looked through the comments but I'd have to say if we don't nail these draft picks we have in our possesion it could be all over very quickly. 5, 13, 26, 32 along with Sydney's potential picks 11 and 22 for our picks 13, 26 and Grundy I think its a win-win for both clubs. It's good enough, but my key concern is Petty's body as a forward can it hold up? We need a Key Forward now, Oscar Allen is just the ideal candidate 24 y.o just entering his prime for a 5 year premiership onslaught. Surely he came to the 2021 Grand Final and thought I'd love to play in a team like this. Send Gawn, Goodwin, Chocco, Richardson and Perty over to WA to reiterate he is the missing piece. Sell him the dream of 90k plus crowds during finals, Marquee games v Filth and Tiges, marking bombs into our forward line from our "elite" midfield and creating a once in a lifetime dynamic forward line trio of JVR, Petty and Allen. Didn't Larkey sign during this year? We just had the wrong plan unfortunately. Petty was training with the Forwards during pre season if my memory serves me correctly. So i think the brains trust didn't think it was a requirement, but looking back in hindsight it was exactly what we needed. The Gawndy combo was a bust but we're just lucky we might get a high pick than the one we outlayed initially in pick 27.

In a nutshell they are crapping their dacks. What happened during this finals series was all above the head in the important moments. Seems like not alot of work went into this space on top of a drop off in fundamental skill based technique. Does the club have a psychologist the players can approach during the season or have club tutorials every month to cover different aspects of a season that might pop up? The winner of the Premiership every year tend to kick easy goals in predictable areas of the ground and everybody gets a lick of the Ice Cream that was not us at all. I would be shocked and disappointed if this has been neglected and brushed off as a non issue. This is a real problem now, 4 losing finals on our own patch, friggen unbelievable. Maxy take responsibility and get the players buying into this space.

Personally i hope the Grundy money goes into a key forward but there is no much out there. It might not even happen next year either due to cap space. Both BBB and Tmac have one year remaining on their deals, so i would estimate its nearly 1 million of Salary cap space that should be devoted to a key Forward in 2025. Any Brody Mihoeck's floating around at VFL, SANFL or Bush league level?
