They all slap the post because they get told to, the coaches and players know the system is screwed so why not create a bit of doubt and it worked out for them. Rampe is a serial post climber and slapper. This is what you get with a 3rd world score adjudication system.

Vale Charlie Tiang - Gone too soon.
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to Dannyz's topic in Melbourne Demons
Just had a ripping tribute to the young fella Charlie and his family on AFL 360. Proud to be a Demon just like Charlie. R.I.P 🇱🇮❤️ -
Might have been mentioned already but did Maysie come off in the last 2 mins with a Hammy complaint on Sunday?
-
They are, actually asking for compensation from the AFL.

2 weeks in a row sides get done by the Goal Umps
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to Monbon's topic in Melbourne Demons
They have frozen 2 weeks in a row, how much clearer can it be? They need to put there hand in their pockets and find a 💯 percent correct scoring system. -
What the fugg is going on with the umpiring fraternity? They have completely lost the plot!
-
Was that goal umpire wearing glasses aswell?
-
Its an absolute 5 hit show from the AFL.

2 weeks in a row, AFL nothing to see here.....
-
Hammy?

It's finally caught up to the bastards. But they are content with last years gift from the AFL.
-
Also Brisbane can still finish top and Collingwood 2nd so we would still need to win both and finish 3rd but Port could win both and finish 3rd and play Collingwood if they dont beat Essendon. This is literally Fugged!

Im genuinely conflicted in my thinking here. I can now see why collingwood rested these players tonight instead of next week. Downside is they have now lost 3 in a row. Time will tell.
-
Can't be considered tanking when your 4th on the ladder surely? I like preparing for finals, though it wont go down well with the media tools.
-
It is a real tough one @Macca it will be 3 weeks since there last game if we rest players. We will know at 7.20 pm next Saturday night what we need to do.
-
Really difficult to gauge the thinking of the club with the possible dilemma we are about to face. If we beat the Hawks on Sunday we have sew up 4th spot and a possible game against QF against Collingwood and the G Friday night/Saturday Arvo week 1. That game against Sydney throws up all sorts of possibilities, I've played enough sport to know you don't want to flirt with your form. The thought of an away QF at a dewy Gabba track and air travel does not entice me in any, way, shape or form i can only imagine what the players and coaching staff thoughts are on it. Smart play would be to obviously stay in Melbourne and play a banged up Collingwood. Enough food for thought lets just beat these Dawks on Sunday.

Footyology: Comment on JVR tackle
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to pitmaster's topic in Melbourne Demons
The interpretation that got me was the Clarry handball that got paid a throw 20 meters in front of Carlton’s goal in the 2nd quarter. clearly got a fist to the ball but the umpire has just guessed it from 5 meters away. I've come to accept that the umps just guess these types of incidents which is actually quite sad. -
yes it is, they never used that footage.
-
Even with Midfield combo's, rotations, etc. Grundy back in, Joel Smith back line then pushed forward when Pig comes on as the sub. Carlton pretty much reviled all to us and everybody else Sat night it meant the world to them to win. September is another season.
-
I still reckon Goody has not played every hand possible this year and against Carlton either for that matter.
-
He has very long fingertips.

Are West Coast tanking?
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to Jumping Jack Clennett's topic in Melbourne Demons
They've been tanking the light out for the past 2 years if you don't believe that you have rocks in your head. Why else would Adam Simpson still be at the helm? -
They didn't even try to zoom in on Saturday night @binman didn't even look at the vision from the other goal post camera. The Arc operators froze Saturday night. Next day 4th quarter of the Hawks v Bulldogs game Hawks had a kicked touch on the line and they thoroughly checked both post camera angles and even zoomed in on the touched ball. No integrity whatsoever with the AFL all corporate spin. They can send man to the moon, have car that drive themselves but they can't find technology to determine whether a ball has been touched or not. Put your money 💰 in your pockets AFL find a better system search the world to find it. Even whack a go pro on the goal umpires hat. Just do something!

Did you see the goal line review for the Hawks v Bulldogs game? last quarter Tim English touches the ball on the line and they got vision from both post cameras and they even zoomed in. Where was this comprehensive review last night? They [censored] choked in that Arc box last night like a rabbit in the spotlights. The camera on the other post closest to Marchbank would have 100 percent defined whether he touched it or not they were in such a [censored] hurry to get the game going instead of taking an extra 20 seconds and get it right. I don't often again with Dwayne Russell but i reckon they should microchip the ball and that will determine whether the ball had been touched before the line. How much would that cost to put a micro chip in the ball and magnetic sensors in the posts? Not much i would have thought, but the tight ring holes at AFLHQ won't pull their finger out of their a holes to be up to standard with other sports around the world. Every goal line and offside decision in the Womens World Cup have been correct 💯 percent, NBA have buzzer beater technology to determine whether the ball has been released before the game clock expires. Tennis has Hawkeye for line calls, Elite Soccer has VAR for offside( Yes their were initially teething problems with this until they determined what part of body was considered offside but 100 percent now) and Hawkeye for goal line technology 100 pecent correct. NFL you Hawk eye aswell with 100's of camera angles to determine 1st downs etc. But the AFL is stuck with 3rd world technology 2 go pros on each post and a camera angle on the side, it's a complete and utter chip show from top to bottom with the AFL. AFL big shots go around saying they are an Elite level comp but i beg to differ they can't even get goal line decisions to 💯 percent levels when its going to count most Grand Final day. Embarrassing AFL Embarrassing.
