It’s one of the more popular brands of “baijiu” which literally means “white alcohol”. It’s actually not white but clear like vodka. Another brand, Maotai, is perhaps the most famous. These well known brands are often very expensive and highly prized as gifts. They are all all very high in alcohol content and to me taste bloody terrible and more useful for stripping paint or starting engines. Give me a Harbin lager any day.

Not an expat per se but I spend about 8 months per year in mainland China primarily Shenzhen and Changsha.

Welcome to Demonland: Kade Chandler
ProperDee replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can't for the life of me understand why alleged "supporters" are writing these young blokes off sight unseen (or based on a brief video). What is it that you don't get? Apart from the fact that they are boys that are still growing and maturing, they have been selected by the powers that be at our club as having the potential to be AFL footballers. FCS give them a bloody chance!- 50 replies

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOM SPARROW
ProperDee replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Clearly gotta name him T-Bird! -
Don’t even say that in jest!
-
Oh! Sorry about that. I wasn’t aware rules applied. Just ignore mine.
-
G’day guys. I have a few good bets scattered across the country tomorrow but focusing on the big meeting I will settle on: Flemington Race 6 No. 3 Shillelagh.
-
We don’t have a bad run home after the bye.
-

Would know Jake Lever and been with May and Kolo for the past couple of years. Maybe those boys can have a chat with him? We are a different proposition now. A destination club going places. Very attractive one would think.

Another who fell out with Dew. A very good footballer with close ties to the Dees. Snap him up.

Keep selecting those leaders at Caulfield binman The winner of the first led and should have been run down but kept them all at bay down the straight.
-
Homesman is the one for me. Should jump to the front on a leaders track and a big weight drop makes it a very good chance.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
ProperDee replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
Braydon has a fair bit of mongrel in him and their are reports that he intimidated the hell out of Goldstein at training! Maybe we should nickname him Carl? I wouldn’t be worried if we rested Maxy a few times during the season and gave Big Carl Preuss a call up. There will also be times during next season when we need to play two ruckmen and I’m looking forward to seeing how that goes. -
Lets now hope Jesse wakes up to himself and puts pen to paper with us. Any inflated ego from being the subject of much discussion has burst big time. Time to settle down and play football with the team that has looked after you through your darkest hours young fella.

Excellent summary Bitter. ?

If there was a crumpet in our forward line we could trade it to the GC for May. Stuie Dew would quickly drop a crumpet into his forward pocket!
-
Wow. We'll be looking at 10 or 11 gone when this is finished. That's a huge hole to fill. But, it indicates a club that won't take any backward steps in improving the list. From my POV, great to see.
-
Hahahaha. Love it! Back down into the sewers until 2019.
-
Barlow can find the footy and would not be a stupid choice on a one year deal.. I have always liked him as a player. Had a major falling out with Dew at the GC.
-
Lucky Ryan did take that mark or he'd be deservedly highlighted for the squib act. Lewis Jetta is a frightened rabbit too. Guess the family g & d gene missed him. I have never been able to tolerate shirking a contest on the footy field let alone when there is a premiership on the line. Give me blokes like Matt Whelan, Byron Pickett and Nev Jetta any day.

GOLD Coast chief executive Mark Evans says the club hopes to extend Jack Martin’s contract, but didn’t categorically confirm the talented utility would be at the Suns next year.
-
JACK. MARTIN.

This is becoming ridiculous. Posters working themselves into a frenzy over Hogan’s potential departure and coming up with their own personal wish list of players to obtain in return. I would say “get a grip” but it seems it has progressed way beyond that. Maybe we can change the website name to Dreamonland?
-
I’d prefer Jack Martin to May. Freakish skills and could kick 50 goals as a permanent forward pocket.
