Farewell Jesse Hogan
is he fast? no is he a good kick? no does he apply defensive pressure? no is he a good mark? he's ok but wrestles too much. i would be all up for trading him. for those that say he is a good field kick are deluded. his ball drop is hard to watch.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
i wouldve traded him earlier. poor attitude and i dont care what his set shot stats are, he is a terrible kick.
-
Andrew Gaff
disagree. He definitely didn't mean to punch him in the face. Those swinging right hands are usually targeted into the chest/top of the jumper region but gaff missed. Gaff certainly didn't look at him and punch him in the face. not sure what vision you were watching.

Andrew Gaff
agree on may. would make me sleep so well at night.

Andrew Gaff
i'd much prefer to stock up for next year and work to get dylan shiel who will be out of contract. He is a lot better than gaff. He has power and pace. Would be awesome for us.

The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
excuses excuses. he has been pathetic for a long time. i'd much prefer a pederson at the moment. A better kick for goal, good in the air and work ethic much better. he can also be that ruck/fwd that hogan can't. (tmac is no ruck/fwd either). pedo was in AA form when gawn went down last year so i think we need to find a spot for him

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
well petty's debut didnt instill me with a lot of confidence, and oscar mcdonald is still someone who needs 15 men to support him so we should be moving heaven and earth to get a key defender.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
hell no to armitage. injury prone, slow and poor skills. no to gaff as well. I'd be all up for bringing in aaron hall. His best is very good and was leading the brownlow last year (or the year before) after the first 4 or 5 rounds from memory.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
i recognise that they are different players and different positions. but i never said i wanted an outside accumulator that is soft and unaccountable defensively. I'd much prefer a key defender for obvious reasons. if anything we need speed through the midfield. the pies exposed us for leg speed when we played them. guys like stephenson, degoey, hoskin elliott just embarassed us on the spread so the last person i'd want is gaff. pretty sure he couldn't run 20m in 3s. he's quite slow.

Andrew Gaff
yeah, probably. i mean most of his kicks are pretty easy spot up kicks with not much risk attached. he probably cant kick too much further than 50m. I'd just much prefer to grab a key defender and alleviate the oscar mcdonald effect than to get an outside midfielder. if anyrhing i'd go for aaron hall and would almost prefer him at his money
-
Andrew Gaff
i would. i dont rate gaff as high as others. he is poor defensively and one paced. he is just an accumulator to me with above average foot skills.

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
not sure how many times it needs to be said but gaffs defensive game is a weakness, not a strength. i'd much prefer steven may. the peace of having oscar mcdonald either at casey or on the 2nd best tall would add years to my life

Who do we realistically target for a trade?
We need a key defender. We can't rely on Oscar Mcdonald and Frost to keep us competitive when lever is out for a year. That means May or someone else but I think that will be high on the agenda. Otherwise, any outside mids with leg speed and accountability. That rules out Gaff.

Jason Taylor Resume
i'm unsure on weideman at this stage. Looks a nice kick but has missed some gettable goals when playing at afl level. No good picks for a while for Taylor at this stage.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I'd much prefer to keep him but whatever happens happens. We've played good footy without him and we have Tom Mcdonald who is a better player in my opinion. Averages more goals per game and a far straighter kick. No player is bigger than the club so I feel more comfortable now about Hogan threatening to move back to Perth than ever before.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
the losses against hawks, rich and collingwood were due to our midfielders inability to work both ways. gaff is the worst of that lot. At the end of the day his efforts last year were close to putting him in the wafl. he is much improved this year but i haven't noticed any changes defensively.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
he has a rat tail. yikes!

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
lol. you clearly have no clue re: harden. he literally has compilation videos on his poor defence. proof on gaff? ask any west coast fan. they didnt think he was best 22 last year after some of his efforts. i also had him in my fantasy team so i watched him like a hawk and he was extremely poor defensively.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Because he is from there and decided to not sign a long contract last time. You'd be naive not to think that there is a risk of him leaving with todays free agency culture. Very naive.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
mate, brownlow is a midfielders medal. He is an accumulator for one of the best teams in the league. just because you accumulate possessions offensively doesn't mean you are not a liability defensively. It's like getting James Harden to improve your defence, the guy is a spud defensively. And similar for Gaff, he is hopeless at the defensive stuff. Have you not seen much of him play? Geez, don't get sucked in by the numbers mate, look at his defensive work. Which is what we need.
-
THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
A slow outside receiver that is poor defensively is not what we need. I don't care how many brownlow votes he gets or how much of the footy he gets, he is terrible defensively and that is definitely not what we need. you've seen us against teams like richmond and hawthorn etc that beat us on the spread. Gaff would make us worse in this aspect.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
Once again, you're missing the point. Hogan decided NOT to sign a lengthy contract with us. It's his right. It will also be his right once he becomes a free agent to go wherever he chooses. It's definitely something worth considering if he is likely to go back to W.A.

THE 2018 AFL NATIONAL DRAFT
I think people have missed the point with Hogan. I'm not saying trade him because he isn't good. I personally just feel that he will want a return to W.A. So I'm not sure why people are skimming over this quite possible fact. I'd rather get full value from him than to lose him to free agency. As for the guy that said maybe trading guys like Stretch/Kent etc. will get us the likes of Sam Walsh, a possible top 2 pick. LOL. Try pick 45 son. Also, packaging Dom Tyson with pick 31 would probably get us pick 20 or something around there. 2 averages doesn't equal good on the trade table. Otherwise I'd give up stretch, kent, tyson and pick 31 for buddy. Some people just don't understand how the draft works. Some Watts lovers were spewing when we gave him up for pick 31. Dreaming. He isn't playing regular senior football as I predicted and Fristch is a 200 gamer :)
