Have you even seen May play. He is an elite defender, with elite speed and is a better user of the ball than Frost, Oscar Mcdonald and Lever so he would be a massive upgrade. May plays for the worst team in the comp, where he has no support at all. He would thrive in a team like ours.

Are you happy with that though. There's no way I can put up with Oscar Mcdonald for another season. Especially with teams like richmond having lynch and riewoldt.

No way am I happy with trading out ANB. The guy is a bloody good player. He kicked 27 goals this year which is a great return for a guy that pushes up the field a lot.

we will make sure we get May. I'm confident of that.

Overall, I like the way he handles himself and gets things done but we definitely spent too much for Lever who was out of contract. But he did well to get hibberd and melksham but I'd be pi$$ed if we don't get 2 first rounders for Hogan.

steven may is a gun though and will go to a whole new level at a new club that is actually competitive. we may only get 3 or 4 seasons out of him though so don't overspend.

Good post. I think you may be right but I think Mahoney wouldn't settle for pick 5 and 23. I think if its not 2 first rounders then Mahoney would ask for another pick in the 30s to make up for the imbalance. So hogan for 5,23 and 30-something.

I'd love to sign Jesse to another 1 year extension and tell freo that we will continue to do this until you cough up what he is worth

also forward 50 pressure will be important and unfortunately thats where hogan lacks significantly.

thanks dom for your work. got caught holding the ball too many times for my liking but was really important to us when we were a basket case. he helped get us off the canvas and i thank him for that.

if we let hogan go for a first and 2nd rounder then i think it takes away all of Mahoneys good work in the past. he has a history of over spending.

i just want to get rid of Hogan. Grossly overrated and doing well without him has been no coincidence. Trade him for may and be done with it and win the flag next year.

i guess thats good. but considering pick 5 and 6 won't happen we will still have to wait for free to trade to get a pick in the teens so we are still ages away

you sound like Josh Mahoney. I wasn't too pleased to hand over 2 draft picks for Lever when he was out of contract, signalled his intentions to leave and had an extensive injury history.

Agree to a degree. but I wouldn't over react to his injury. Yes, it may be debilitating but any player can get injured. just like Lever. Or any draft pick we use for the Hogan deal could also have a career ending injury at any moment.

just as i suspected. looking at his draft number and stats only. maybe watch some games. brayshaw didnt have a great debut season, especially compared with cerra.

they would all be calling each other after hours anyway. they 'clock off' at the building at 3pm.
