Farewell Jesse Hogan
the infamous 4276. im just wondering of thats the plan and if i should start looking at the under 18 draftees
-
Farewell Jesse Hogan
hey guys, im a bit confused. if hogan leaves and we get 2 first round picks and we use one to get may, will we use the other pick at the draft? And if so, what pick would that be?
-
Farewell Dom Tyson
gets caught holding the ball too often. understand people want him for depth purposes but other players will come in and be those depth players

Farewell Jesse Hogan
lol! im talking about what i think will happen. I'd take a straight swap for may and hogan but i don't think the club will. i'd actually be happy going to the draft with the picks we get too.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
we'll get 2 first rounders for him. im confident of that.

Lewis' wise old head certainly didnt help against wce. gives a lot of costly and silly frees away.

yeah im happy with that. does that put lewis to casey?

Farewell Jesse Hogan
hogan not in the top 10 in the best and fairest. and rightly so.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
people asking for andrew brayshaw are probably just looking at his surname and his early draft position and thinking we should chase him. the truth is, i didnt see much in his debut season to get excited about. cerra on the other hand looks twice the player.

Agreed. Good logic. Yes, at any one pick it doesnt look to great but if you look at who you can pick then I trust Jason Taylor to get it right.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
wow, you have very low standards. he is a good player..nothing more than that. he isnt even our best forward. he lacks in a lot of areas as a previous poster illustrated.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
if hogan leaves and mcdonald gets injured there goes our whole season. im up for getting rid of hogan but i wouldnt mind some assurance. god knows we dont want weideman as our sole key forward.

im just putting it out there but i reckon he plays a bit soft. i dont wanna spend any more than a late 3rd rounder.

Pick 4, 5 and Brayshaw? Wow, some posters on here are so delusional. Also, what part of Brayshaws game do people like or do they like him just because he is Angus' brother and was a high draft pick? Cerra looks like double the player.

Farewell Dean Kent
We have spargo, hannan, melksham and fritsch can go there too.
-
Farewell Dean Kent
i like Kent but deserves opportunity at another club. People are kidding themselves if they expect a 2nd rounder from an injury riddled fringe player. We'll probably just do whats in Kents best interests and take a late pick for him.

2019 best 22 and depth chart
Lewis' last game just can't be forgiven that easily. Flying to perth for a prelim and he hits a wce player off the ball, reverses the ball and they kick the 1st goal of the game from it and get the fans up and about. Pathetic act by a 'leader'. He then gave away about 3 more goals . I think Lewis has been good for us this season by by gee is he a polarising player. I think he is gone next season, due to leg speed alone.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
To be honest, I think Cerra looks a lot better than Andrew brayshaw.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
myth? literally as soon as hogan went out we beat 4 top 8 teams in a row. naive to think its coincidence. it also happened last season.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
finally a wise post

Farewell Jesse Hogan
ok fair enough. I'll put it all on the table. strengths: -1 on 1 marking (although not as good as a few seasons ago) - aerobic capacity allows him to play multiple positions. - goal kicking prowess: potential to kick 60 goals a season. weaknesses - defensive pressure. -on field attitude - goal kicking accuracy - performances against top teams. i weigh all of these up and believe that nothing is more important than attitude. And that trumps all talent, especially when building a winning culture.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I just want people here to discuss dees players strengths AND weaknessds. my pet peeve are fans that think every dees player is gods gift to footy.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
great news! I want Cerra and an early pick though. All these people can shove their goal stats up their behinds. Hogan is expendable. And rightly so. You don't chase jesse, then you're out the door like Jack Watts.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
because everyone who loves hogan were the same people crying to the club when we shipped him out for pick 31. they have no idea about football. The only reason i'd want to keep hogan is if they turned him into a defender because you can't sook and whinge in the d50

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Lol you guys are unbelievable. you're so obsessed with stats. Stats only tell a little bit of the story. Kennedy doesn't stop chasing and harrasing and applies relentless pressure inside 50m. There's no stats for chasing, There's no stats for implied pressure. Giving me tackle and goal numbers of kennedy/hogan etc. Seriously? You were probably the ones comparing watts to riewoldt statistically. Hogan is terrible defensively and is attitude on field is a disgrace. He stages for free kicks and complains to the umpire when the ball is still in play. I know its hard for simpletons to look deeper than his goal tally and high draft position but he needs to dramatically improve his defensive pressure. I was also one of the only posters in this forum at the start of the year that wanted to see more from petracca to prove that he had the polish to go to the next step as an afl player. And after this season now the media are on to him and realising that his disposal is poor and kicking for goal disgraceful. It usually takes people an extra season to look past a players draft position and call it as they see it. And i might add that anyone who thought jack watts was a good player and shouldve stayed should ban themselves from any football forum. Seriously embarassing the amount of people that thought pick 31 waa getting unders for him.
