whoever does go. don't sit on your hands. be loud and proud and get ua over the line!!

nice synopsis. I think a tad harsh in brayshaw. yes he was quiet but he kicked 2 crucial goals. weideman: converted under pressure and melksham was so good in the last quarter. his goal on the left from 50m was so clutch!!! hawks were coming too. then he followed it up with 2 contested marks on sicily and another goal. almost gota vote for me tonight just for his last quarter.

i think some of the comments here are a bit uneducated. There's no way we would have scully back I agree but did people honestly expect scully to knock back that much money? Especially when we were all very ok with having Lever. And you're kidding yourself if you think money wasnt the main factor in that.

Not sure which player you've been watching. No offence but Petracca has been awful. It was further highlighted on Footy Classified last night when Chris Judd singled him out and showed a highlights package of his mistakes. Fumbling, missing goals, dropping marks, missing tackles etc. Of course when you're on the footy field for 2 hours you're going to do some good things but his dropped mark in the 2nd quarter let Geelong right back into the game. It was his dropped mark that really changed the momentum of the game and started the string of mistakes. And then he has the chance to kick a goal from 30 out on a slight angle and he misses. I want to see him lift big time because he has been annoying me for months now.

Just joining the dots. He has played plenty of games at casey and from what I understand he wasn't injured for most of the season until the reason setback. I wouldn't want to trade him for a second rounder as someone suggested. We have 2 line breakers in our whole team. 1 is frost, and 1 is hunt. Speed is one thing you can't teach, you either have it or you don't and these guys have it. And there's probably only a dozen of them in the comp. Johanisson, Saad etc.

Guys, I'm a bit worried about some of our forward at the moment. Petracca's kicking has been terrible all season and he doesn't have any confidence shooting for goal and rightly so but then we also have melksham who is lacking confidence too and resorting to snaps from directly in front to avoid the pressure of the drop punt. I don't think we can have to forwards down on confidence. If Petracca is in the team (and he was a liability against the cats) then I think he needs to play further up the ground as we can't carry his goal kicking anymore.

I think this guy deserves his own thread. Last season he was one of our most important players and this season he hasn't been in our best 22. Yes, he has been injured in stages but at the beginning of the season he still wasn't selected when fit. Last season, he was one of the best running half backs in the competition and this season he is depth at best according to Goodwin. Would Hunt seek a trade at the end of this season? With lever coming back in it's not going to get any easier. I'd hate to see him leave but he could finish in the top 3 at a Best and fairest at another club so I wouldn't blame him for it. Where does he need to improve? Are people confident that he will be a long term player for us? Him and Frost are basically the same player except one is key position and hunt is a flanker so maybe having them both in the team would hurt too much with their foot skills?

Petracca in that group by any chance?
-
Let me guess, you were a jack watts fan too? lol. lets not embarrass those that supported him for all those years. If he was pick 50, he would've been delisted 5 years earlier. Same goes for Hogan and Petracca. Call it as we see it.
-
I hear what you're saying but unfortunately until Petracca performs consistently then it his him and his supporters like you that need to show something. His performance against geelong was pathetic. As for Hogan, we've hit better form without him and this happened last season too when Hogan missed. It's definitely not coincidence. Yes, he is a talented player but his defensive pressure is non-existent and his attitude is culture-sucking. So don't just tell me how many goals he has kicked because that only tells half the picture with Hogan. And I called it as soon as it happened that the loss of Hogan would not affect us in the slightest. I was right.

yes we are in a premiership window but i'd still like to have draft picks as I dont want to be cr@p again for another 12 years. So i'd take any early picks and use them

The moment you know when you’re going to win
Dr.D replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
call me crazy but i was biting my fingernails all the way until ANB kicked the goal in the last. We showed against the cats last time that we could bleed quick goals so i think thats fair right! -
I think people are being far too generous with petracca. he dropped 2 basic uncontested marks inside 50, slipped over too much and missed a clutch goal that our team needed so much. His dropped mark was so costly i'd go as far as to say that it kept geelong in the game for the next 2 quarters. his kicking is a disgrace and needs to sort it out asap. you can't have forwards that can't kick goals.
-
its not hogans talent, its his attitude. weideman is far better for our team dynamic. people are naive if they think that its coincidence we are playing our best footy as soon as hogan left the team.

Who are our bottom six? And where do they rate?
Dr.D replied to Dees2014's topic in Melbourne Demons
Weideman before Fritsch??? No way is Fritsch in our bottom 6. Our bottom 6 are: Jay Kennedy-harris, Weideman, Omac, Tyson, Spargo and Vandeberg. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Dr.D replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
i'd love preuss. i say we just pay overs for him because we are white desperate for a back up ruckman. preuss is better than goldstein in my opinon -
good work Bernie. Was our best player in 2015! elite player at his best.
-
80% of people on this thread wanted to keep jack watts. And like I said that was embarassing. I would've got rid of him 5 years earlier. He was clearly never going to make it. We probably wouldve made finals sooner without him. Port will delist him at the end of next season. Some people are so blinded by their deep support that they don't have it in them to talk about a players flaws.
-
exactly. cerra had a fantastic debut season and will be a gun.
-
Thanks!!! i found you! ok i'll change my avatar. so whats the relevance of neeld?
-
2 first rounders and a 2nd rounder? lol. that ain't happening dude. I'd take cerra and their first rounder and be happy with it too.
-
Anyone that wanted Watts to stay really should have no say in this thread. Period. That was just embarrassing and really showed a lack of understanding on footy and what it takes to be a good player.
-
i'd go Gawn, oliver, lever, mcdonald, brayshaw, viney, petracca, fritsch then Hogan. i'm not even baiting i honestly just am not a hogan fan and would be more annoyed at losing even fritsch then hogan.
-
nah pass. he has elite talent but i think has lost his elite speed. could have beenan A grade. poor kid. i'd rather get a rookie ruckman in case gawn goes down.
