  1. A real cause for concern (s). It is now endemic, historical, anticipated, ignored. Someone thinks they know better and have failed to prove it for too long.
  2. Then dropping OMac immediately is a step in the right direction to strengthen the whole team. Surely? He is any opposition's pathway to kick goals - as often as required to stay on top of the Dees across a game.
  3. No May/Lever/Smith back-up, coverage and heavy support of OMac required (whoever his opponent/s might have been at any moment) with these three defenders onfield, with OMac opening the chewy packets somewhere off-field.
  4. Heed MFC supporters
  5. I'd still support Jordan Lewis, if available; Yze may well be another good candidate; Lyon (Ross or Gary) make sense, too.
  6. Is that the source of OMac in our current team?
  7. Agreed, fully. The opposite scenario would be that if we won those critical games (that could be pencilled in to our tally) we would be facing a finals series with Goodwin as Coach. That would lead us to even more misery I'd think. The man has ruined our footy team that looked to be so bright for the shorter-term future. How do we get Goodwin out? Does not the Board hierarchy see the discontent of paying Members of the MFC and the supporting public? Water off a duck's back; over-committed themselves to a non-evidentiary football guru. The Board needs a kick up the R's, as well. Not one of us is happy or satisfied to tolerate this appalling record of mediocrity wherein a slather of complaints have resided almost continuously with such management across the whole depth of a professional footballing construct.
  8. May and Smith attempted to cover for OMac right up until the Useless One was moved out of the backline to the forward line. Smith had a few yards left but May, poor fellow, was almost exhausted by his two opponents and his role as fullback and this occurred in the first half. It affected the rest of his game as it has done so many times in the past with Jetta and Hibberd attempting to cover for OMac. OMac's inclusion in the side has always led to two other Demon players playing against two opponents, full time. Otherwise, the backline leaks goals. This is what Lever was referring to in the radio interview last week without mentioning names. Why? Because Lever had to provide some cover for OMac as well play his own man/game as the Third Tall, not the Third Backup for OMac's inability. Some windsurfers on DL continue to defy the laws of gravity but it is time overdue for them to acknowledge that the penny has well and truly dropped in terms of OMac's usefulness to the team. What has it been? Four or five years?
  9. Recent history and performances across a 3-year period clearly indicate that Goodwin is no 'genius' as Coach; and, OMac has never been a 'good footballer' (his only reliabilities are to be last to the contest and fully useless within it as a means of self-protection).
  10. Very noticeable change for the better. Oscar has to go, this time, surely?
  11. Pathetic confusion with overstretched supports. Oscar cost us 3 goals in critical moments of the first half. OUT!!!!
  12. This rotational, rapid swing is what I would be expecting for Half Back and Half Forward - three mobiles on an attacking side - each capable of backing-up OMac's mistakes, slow reactions and snail's pace to the contests across the backline - and providing outside run at the contests on the forward line, plus tags and feeds. Harmes, Smith and Wagner - good choices.
  13. Have a ripper, non-Netflix time. Watch the Dees beat the Feathered Ones, what a dream. Pies, beer and football - nothing could be better.
  14. Tomlinson appeals to me on the wing, he's a runner and another spaceman.
  15. No, Absolutely not. May, Lever, Smith, the latter rotating for a few games with Harmes on the forward line. CHB is a position we must recruit it seems, with some urgency, becoming the 2nd tall to May (1st tall) with Lever as the 3rd tall.
  16. Dead right! It was some performance - for the whole year. A purple patch like no other.
  17. Social distancing is not rubbish, it is a free process to protect others from you, and you from others. Viruses are hidden, dormant, regretfully unexpectedly emergent, and in general, absolutely and rapidly lethal due to their evolutionary mutations and genetics. This is generally known yet has to be reinforced and re-stated to some who regard 'the now' more important than 'the short-term and long-term futures of all people. Contagion centres on the 'me' and not the 'us'. Good on ya for questioning the comment, Stein193.
  18. Classic democratic thought processes at work - encouraging, isn't it? Love the variety of comment - provides stimulus in the formulation of ideas, thoughts, reflections and the settling of concrete positivism to balance inputs.
  19. Hunt is adaptable - he can do these things and has been given great exemplars to interpret over the past month. His pace and sprinting recovery is a tremendous asset now that the team is actually slowing its intended progress of the ball and looking up for opportunities ahead - but not too far ahead. Hunt is also a great kick.
  20. He finds space, too; he takes an opposition backman with him on the follow trail. Handy dummy leads who may well take a few shots consecutively - he space-finding is so good.
  21. That is something to consider coz when on task, he is dangerous.
  22. There is so much talent available and if in their correct roles/positions for a change, we could smash the Feathered Ones. There should be some handful of list changes for the game and Max must be rested. It is time to re-Release the Beast into rucking duties. Frustratingly difficult to select/suggest 'who, what, when, where and why' this week but innovation from the coaching panel/selection panel could put us in a great position. Carna Dees!
  23. Durability is the key; it surprises me that The Filth actually used that word relative to the player - who would have thought that they could use words of more than two syllables? We already have an outstanding footballer almost in the wings, in Bennell, who is more than capable of such a role for the team - once this durability issues are sorted. We really need with some urgency a centre half back type of player with mongrel.
  24. This bloke is mere sabotage to our team. Slow, scared, missing, error-ridden, non-combative, clumsy, chicken-hearted and lazy.
