  1. Hunt is adaptable - he can do these things and has been given great exemplars to interpret over the past month. His pace and sprinting recovery is a tremendous asset now that the team is actually slowing its intended progress of the ball and looking up for opportunities ahead - but not too far ahead. Hunt is also a great kick.
  2. He finds space, too; he takes an opposition backman with him on the follow trail. Handy dummy leads who may well take a few shots consecutively - he space-finding is so good.
  3. That is something to consider coz when on task, he is dangerous.
  4. There is so much talent available and if in their correct roles/positions for a change, we could smash the Feathered Ones. There should be some handful of list changes for the game and Max must be rested. It is time to re-Release the Beast into rucking duties. Frustratingly difficult to select/suggest 'who, what, when, where and why' this week but innovation from the coaching panel/selection panel could put us in a great position. Carna Dees!
  5. Durability is the key; it surprises me that The Filth actually used that word relative to the player - who would have thought that they could use words of more than two syllables? We already have an outstanding footballer almost in the wings, in Bennell, who is more than capable of such a role for the team - once this durability issues are sorted. We really need with some urgency a centre half back type of player with mongrel.
  6. This bloke is mere sabotage to our team. Slow, scared, missing, error-ridden, non-combative, clumsy, chicken-hearted and lazy.
  7. Fully agreed. We should not be having to use him in the team for much longer. As good as the proverbial '...two men missing...' ; firstly, himself at contests and chases, and secondly, the other backman covering for his predictable errors and 'no show' at the contest, leaving a free opposition forward to heap damage on our backline set-up. Suddenly, we are two men short back there.
  8. Brown's leads are commendable - not for a goal shot, but to maintain possession and seek a pass/feed. Keep him there as he is going to clunk a few in a row, as well.
  9. Absolutely. Wagner was better than expected. OMac didn't impress at all - drop. Goodwin was very lucky he had May and Tracca onboard. I'd reckon there were eight passengers.
  10. OK, nicely posited, it must be true, alas. Thank you for the straight-forward diagnostic advice, FND; this aberration can summarily be dismissed within. I do sense a disappointment is looming very soon this late afternoon. However, to be a benchmark in your eyes is a pleasing acknowledgment - and to be considered an 'elite' state of misery may just be nudging that unreal world in which no-one can hear you scream. Carna Dees, play with contempt for the hangman.
  11. Right now, well before game time, I feel as if I was condemned fifty years ago, locked up in a cell and now, the rope of the adjacent scaffold has my name on it in three hours.
  12. That actually sounds exciting - the Goody Thread in precipitous action, the game tonight will only light the fuse. Do we need to book in advance?
  13. When I first heard this song and again when first seeing this clip, I just could not believe how talented these two were in their own rights. This is very much the MFC theme and the thematic so expressed. Thanks, WJ. Right on the eve of destruction.
  14. Makes one hold one's breath. Didn't see this one but have seen some ancient (of course) footage. It was in our clubrooms years ago when we all played footy hard and fast. The room went silent across about 150 people, the exhibition was so good. Even then, we only saw a sample of the goals he kicked, not all of these. It made even Huddo look average. Thanks for this, great keepsake.
  15. If 'the trick' is the immediate appointment of another coach!
  16. I think before this game, we are all already in meltdown, waiting for the 'Crown of Learnings' to abdicate as the parliament tends to desire. Call me insensitive if you like, but one can only tolerate gout for a short period of time.
  17. The end is almost a fait accompli - just going through the motions these days - looking for an available alternative. So many MFC supporters want change, now. Saints by 59 points.
  18. I'd suggest that some of these good comments will take place during the game. A 'picked' side can change once on the ground - throwing a spanner, sometimes, into opposition set plans. That is why I'd recommend OMac to keep the bench warm throughout the game for the comfort of the hard workers making up the rest of the team - for when these latter folk need a short rest. OMac could also prove invaluable in this role, fetching drinks, towels and the like for their short-term recuperation.
  19. Maybe a brainfade tantrum, fairy Nuff after all the criticism about his kicking for goal, of late.
  20. This is a very good concept and onfield rotations are a key to innovative problem-solving instead of mundane similarities that lead us to so many defeats. Agreed that each of the listed players has the attributes to so contribute. Such rotations strengthen our capacities - our third ranked players are reinforced - rather than be expected to hold down a position or role unsupported. This assists those 'newbies' (in general) to ascend to 'mop up duties' as required and the creative ones will begin to shine in terms of reliabilities.
  21. Now, that is an interesting statistic ... intent is clearly visible, as well. Makes it all very easy to agree with and reinforces assessments of TMac's efforts, form and effectiveness. A comparison with his brother would be a little bit Queenslanderish (Fourex plus two and a miniscule tick at the start).
