  1. I see it that he was trusting trac to be clean and to give back once both players had committed towards trac.
  2. As reference to a smart ball user on the wing who has pace (and some) I reckon J.Thurlow would be a cracker, hasn't delivered as cruelled by injury a few years back and too good for VFL...
  3. ? very good. poor sod, gifted athlete but not the nous. Mind, his goal coming off the bench v. Collingwood was a beauty...
  4. I'm even more optimistic - Geelong at KP as a win and dependent on the Eagles 2 forwards - another one there - So I'm banking another 6 win in a row run, a loss to the Swans and another 2 wins in brutal hard fashion. 16/6 for mine... unless the wheels fall off.

there are no cleanskins anywhere... people have fallings out either inadvertently or otherwise in life... clearly there are no MAJOR ethical or governance concerns...and his resumè and body of work is exemplary. We are a destination club on and off the park, at this point in time...amen to that.
  7. and if you look real close, the double look inside to check his angles and wing position prior to kick off super smart (well, obvious for a professional)
  8. I for one would be satisfied if Dom left for greater opportunities... aside from disposal errors, he's a solid contributor...but as it stands in this team in 2018 - he doesn't make it into the best midfield that we can put on the ground.
  9. Thanks @Wiseblood, @Demonland time to get a vomit button...
  10. I would concur @Skuit, it's a bloody well run FD and trading out of the first round seems naive - but the FD are not naive - something is a cooking...
  11. aside from the last 4 that we have won... there is history, and there is recent history. chin up , they'll prepare accordingly for it
  12. God it is nice to be on the other side of this conversation...
  13. I'm not a hater of Dom at all... there is no revelling...it's merely a snapshot of him at a point in time, we can acknowledge the happy and the shitty feelings no?
  14. Mmmm indeed, I really rate Hannan, and don't at all buy into each player needing to have an 'even contribution' throughout each quarter to be seen as a pass mark to getting a game the next week. ps: can you add 'grumpy dom' as your photo - as seen in the song being sung vs carlton
  15. Glad you're passionate and these comments to me a nonsensical. We've landed Lewis and Lever in the last few pre seasons. So we're not bullied. And something to warm the cockles - A contact of a contact of a contact (I've been umming ahhing about putting this forward, as I know certain personnel hate this), alluded that Gaff was not dissimilar to Lever, in that Goodwin and co have been maintaining relationships with him for years...unless something drastically changes...well...not dissimilar to Lever. So in my mind, it'll play out quite nicely for us.
  16. I for one am amazed at the type of player that he is. And by that, not amazed overall at how good he is, but I thought he would be a brute force, stay in the 50m arc, monster defender type of guy...my, he is far far more evolved than that. I was fortunate to watch him up at the GABBA and the bloke has wheels - and THEN he shifts into midfield to tackle a guy who was 4 steps ahead of him. He is explosive with his pace... It's a nice surprise to have a talent who fits in with how the modern game is played.
  17. Correct weight sir.
  18. Hunting down all those quotes reminds me of this
  19. it's almost like you want him to go down...
  20. I'm lazy, so can't be bothered looking at stats, but eyeballing Clarry's games, he's clearly and understandably had a lot more attention paid to him... thus I feel he has plateaued with his influence. So, what I am wondering (hoping) is that when Viney comes back it will free him up a bit more...is this an accurate assessment. It reminds me of Judd, who was surrounded by Cousins and Kerr - top midfielders who also allowed him to get off the leash.
  21. harsh as [censored] pal.. you do know the ball is oval shaped, going roughly 30 metres a second...just sayin'
  22. So to make sense of this, get Lever now, best case for 2018, but really 2019 onwards ... so as Oscar will become the gorilla defender that we are after (a la Talia) - Lever will in due course fall back to a similar role... the McDonald, Hibberd, Lever alliance may be up and down as McDonald improves, fills out frame, matures in 2018, but this will be a pretty solid backline for years to come
  23. except for when he doesn't - a la spilt mark in defensive 50 when free...but that'd be me being a nit picking [censored] to prove a point.
