  1. Really? C'mon guys, be sensible.
  2. Anyone would have thought he had grown up in Perth or something...
  3. Who knows? But as a rookie it seems like he is worth the punt.
  4. Yeah me too. I don't think Werdermen will be spelt the same way twice on any page.
  5. I reckon Clayton Oliver is also worth a look at Pick 7. Really tough, inside mid who has leader written all over him. Could play from day one, gets clearances, great tackler etc. A few highlights here: Some tough decisions for our recruiting team to make in the next month!
  6. A Parish/Mathieson double would suit me fine, although wouldn't be disappointed if we drafted Francis or Curnow either. Decisions, decisions...
  7. More like Luke Molan or Lucas Cook style red flags. Plus the knocks on Darling were more off field related. It's well known there are still some large flaws on Weideman's game that he may, or may not, iron out in time. Not sure he is worth the risk.
  8. I'm not keen on Weideman. Heard very conflicting reports. Some really rate him, others don't at all. That puts up red flags for me.
  9. Dangerfield. We're still a chance.
  10. These are the sort of attributes that, for us, are non-negotiables. Parish and Francis are two that seemingly have those traits and would, therefore, fit in well with our plans going forward. There are others who the phrases 'great athlete', 'super runner' etc are attributed to who instantly make me feel uneasy. We need to stay away from those types and focus on the above skills and traits.
  11. About 10-15 minutes ago.
  12. You might have missed a few picks in the OUT section. For example we got Pick 29 in the Kennedy deal and then on traded that to GC as part of today's deal. But if you're merely looking at showing what we started with to what we have right now then I think you're pretty spot on.
  13. Brett Anderson‏@BrettAndersonIF Melb supporters should like GWS: Hogan from GWS mini draft. GWS didn't bid on Viney. Traded Tyson, Frost & now Bugg + pick 7. #TradeSENtral
  14. Further proof that we need to have faith in our FD. It was only a few days ago that many on here were quick to have a crack at Mahoney for not doing enough at the trade table, that others were doing all the good deals and so forth. Now they are quickly changing their tune. And have a look how it's ended. We got the 3 players we wanted, and not only did we move higher up in the draft order but also landed another pick inside the Top 10 as well. Add to that the upgrades of Vandenberg and Harmes (assuming he gets an upgrade) and we have seriously had an excellent trade period. Plus we only had to lose a few picks, Howe and Toumpas to achieve it. Great stuff all round from the club.
  15. If we use that pick to upgrade a Vandenberg or Harmes then it's #epicwinning
  16. They were always going to. So many people on here are short sighted during this period. Melksham, Kennedy, Bugg and 2 picks inside the Top 10. Brilliant work. Plus we can now all watch another 2 minute highlight video of Bugg's best work. Has to be the best part about the trade really...
  17. Biggest deal of the trade period so far.
  18. Sorry buddy, it seems as though my powers of procrastination are working a little quicker than yours today!
  19. Possibly. It may also be the reason why a deal for Bugg is taking so long. You would have thought a third rounder would do the trick, but obviously there is more to it than that.
  20. Sam Landsberger saying on Twitter we are best placed to land Pick 7 from GWS which they will on trade from the Treloar deal. No specifics on what a trade may look like though.
  21. Some great trading by the Carlton Giants.
  22. Plus you would have thought they wouldn't want to get burnt again after trading down for Jaksch and Whiley last year. Horrid trade that one.
  23. It just goes to show that too many on here don't see the bigger picture Sue. When one deal drops they want to tear it apart, yet surely they can see that the club is always on the front foot and that many deals will be part of other ones. For example - the deal that went down for Howe allowed us to not only trade out 2 players we didn't need, but also landed us a bonus player in Kennedy (quoting Mahoney there) and a pick that we could on trade for the deal that went down today. It would be nice if others waited before bagging the FD but, sadly, that will never happen.
  24. Just off topic from the club, but: What do you guys make of Carlton's deal to send Menzel back to SA for a second round pick and Kerridge, a bloke who played 1 senior game for the Crows in 2015? I know they are probably sending that pick to GWS for 4 average footballers, but it seems like they are giving up on a bloke who I thought showed a bit of potential and x-factor, something their list seriously lacks.
