  1. Not only that but you've got two of the least interesting football sides over there playing. Neither of them are relevant and the game has been horrible to watch. It has nothing on the 6 goals Jurrah kicked over there many years ago!
  2. Not exactly a positive day out for the seconds, but it's obvious that Harmes and Neal-Bullen are doing everything in their power to make a difference. It certainly hurts when we lack the talls at VFL level and we lose some bigger bodies like Wagner, Melksham and Gus during the game.
  3. Seriously, this is the weekend that keeps on giving. We smash the Crows in brilliant fashion and then get to enjoy losses to the Filth, Geelong, Richmond and Carlscum. Doesn't get too much better than that.
  4. You would suspect that Hogan should be right to go, and one of Weideman or Hannan will make way for him. Otherwise you would want to reward the players for what was close to a faultless performance. Give them the impetus to back it up next week and break the hoodoo against Norf.
  5. This last part is what stands out to me, Ralph. In amongst some of the disappointment from this year it's easy to forget how we've been in every single game so far. Tonight it clicked for 4 quarters against the top side and we made them look second rate. Consistency is still the key, but if we bring that effort over 4 quarters every week then, as you say, we can beat any side in the league. Exciting times ahead!
  6. Goodwin also showed tonight that he can react and change to suit the game - his move of McDonald forward was terrific and adding Petracca to the midfield was a masterstroke. He isn't afraid to change things up and we are reaping the rewards because of it. It also shows how much the players trust him as well. Great stuff all round.
  7. Just want to add that I picked this win last week in the changes thread. I should do that every week...
  8. Gee I love this club! Positives everywhere! Leadership was brilliant tonight - Viney, Jones, McDonald, Lewis etc. all stood up brilliantly tonight. Clayton Oliver is quickly becoming not just the best midfielder at our club but one of the best in the competition. What a player. Petracca into the midfield changed the game for us as well and hopefully he can spend more time in there in the coming weeks. Big shout out to the backline who, with help from the midfield, kept the Crows to just 66 points. This is a side who regularly spank teams with huge scores, yet their forwards barely got a look in all night. I could go on and on and on.... but I think I'll go and watch the replay! DEMONS!
  9. What a quarter of footy. Just fantastic stuff and it shows just how far we've come as a club. We MUST finish it off from here, though. Crows will come hard at us in the first 10 minutes and it's up to us to keep the pressure up and not allow them easy goals or to get a real sniff. Nervous 30 minutes coming up.
  10. He deserves it for that horrible haircut he has.
  11. They were due for one I guess. Must not let them get another before three quarter time.
  12. Love how much we're niggling the absolute buggery out Sloane tonight.
  13. Nip out and buy her another one just in case!
  14. CLAYTON [censored] OLIVER!!! GOAL OF THE YEAR!!!!!
  15. If he keeps doing this then we might have to leave him there. Makes it show much easier to do with Frosty down back who has been excellent so far!
  16. All the best Jayden, hopefully it's a speedy recovery!
  17. Totally agree, great to see from the young fella.
  18. Hunt just knocked himself out! Oh no!
  19. What? Not it isn't. I said outside of that 10 minute patch we've been the better side. In the other 45-50 minutes they have kicked 1 goal. That's testament to our pressure and how hard we have worked. If it doesn't make sense then that's your problem, ding. Obviously we can't allow them to get a run on like those 10 minutes as when they get their tails up they are hard to stop, but we DID stop them, and that's a big tick for me.
  20. T Mac is not off injured. Pedersen rucking with T Mac/Watts relieving him. Watts has spent most of his time forward. Not really using their right footy, but they haven't really had to. Weed is having a dip, generally going against 2 defenders.
  21. We have the usual pack to cover the negatives, ding. I'll pick out the positives, and in this case there were plenty.
  22. As dazzle said earlier, I've been a fan as well, but the bloke is having an absolute mare today. His kicking is all over the shop and he looks so slow. I'm not one to write players off quickly, but this has been happening all season. It doesn't bode well for him.
