Plenty of the game left to be played my friend. It hasn't been pretty so far, I won't argue that for a second, but we're well within striking distance and I've got faith we can get better in the second half.

Of course I do. Not every game goes exactly to script. The Swans are a proud side who still have plenty of talent across the ground. It was never going to be a walk in park. We're Top 4 for a reason. Our second halves are pretty strong normally and we've got plenty of improvement left in us. Absolute madness to suggest we can't win it when we have 2 quarters to go and we're 2 goals down.

Sorry, is it full time or half time? So many calling this over. It's 14 points FFS. Pretty terrible quarter by our standards, but lots of improvement left in us and we have 2 quarters to do it in. We finish games strongly and I see no reason why we won't do it again. Obviously, our use forward needs to be cleaned up as it felt like every entry went in Aliir's direction, but outside of that we are still getting plenty of shots on goal and good run going forward. Why anyone thinks we're out of it is beyond me.

Aliir currently our most kicked to target in F50. If we can stop kicking it to him we might go alright.

Sam Frost > Lance Franklin Feel awful for Alex Johnson as well, horrible to see. An absolute arm wrestle of a first term but we got ascendancy late. Kicking that first goal seemed to give us a huge lift as well.

No late changes for either side. Funny how some were squawking about insider knowledge that Gawn was out, yet here we are. The Iron Man lives on and is ready to feast on Callum Sinclair.

Bernie is a ripper. He embraced the club when we desperately needed it - he could have played out his years here, earning good money and doing just enough. He did the opposite and his first two years with the club were excellent. Old father time might have caught up to him a little, but he took that in his stride and never made a fuss when he was dropped. He just got on with business and continued to do what he could for the club. If it's his last game then it's a damn shame, but I'll be forever thankful and respectful for his contributions to the club.

True, but I don't feel as though it was played out in the media like other clubs are want to do these days. Maybe I have selective memory, but I felt that, while it seemed like we were in the frame for Lever, we weren't splashing it all over the papers. North, for example, seem to be flinging money at any free agent that will listen to them. Not only that but it's affecting current players who have to wait while they try and lure other players so they can give them the money these other players might deserve. It's not a good look.

I'm always impressed with how well we keep information behind closed doors these days. North play all of their interest in players out in the press. The Saints have come out recently and declared their interest in Hannebery. The Bombers talk about how they want to wheel and deal during trade week this year. Us? We just go about our business quietly. We re-sign our key players and get the job done outside of that when we need to. There is no need to go through the press or to declare interest in players when we don't need to. We may well be into Gaff, but outside of the party line, you won't see us offering up info or leaking anything to the press. We're a professional club these days and it reflects in all facets of the day to day running of the team as a whole.

Absolutely. The vision of him gut running down Adelaide Oval to kick the sealer is a prime example of his worth to our side. As you say, he's a vital cog now.

Absolutely no chance ANB is dropped. The bloke has been in terrific form over the last month and is one of our fittest players. I guarantee he'll play.
