  1. I'm constantly amazed at the amount of doctors we have posting on this board, Pro. It's astonishing.
  2. If there is any doubt at all with his foot, then I'd be resting him up and getting him ready, along with Jake Lever, for the 2019 season. No need to take any risks after last season. However, I don't for a minute question his worth to the side. He makes the players stand taller and he is a player who can lead and will a side over the line for a victory. I can't wait to have him back in the side.
  3. Wish him all the best for the future. Good on him for having the courage to make such a big decision and to look after himself.
  4. About as reliable as a Tom Bugg shot for goal.
  5. I reckon you've gone for a bit of hyperbole there, AF. I agree that losing him hurts, but not to the point that him not playing is the difference between winning and losing. However, as posted above, it sounds like he'll be back for the Swans game so I guess it's a moot point anyway.
  6. Is having a beer or two during the week against the law? Does it hinder your recovery and preparation?
  7. You forgot: - Mark Neeld - Cameron Schwab - Norm Smith Curse
  8. You'll be interested for a while, Cards. Won't happen. It's a non story. If beer or wine, in acceptable amounts, hindered recovery and performance to a large degree then clubs would ban it full stop.
  9. I think you greatly undervalue what Melksham brings to the side.
  10. I think playing JKH was because they believe he can still offer something to the side going forward. Bringing back AVB, after 2 years out and having only played 3 games at Casey, while guys like Bugg and Kent are overlooked, says that they aren't in our plans for 2019. You would think both of those guys, having played more footy and being more match fit, would get the nod first. They actually might get the nod, but if AVB plays, I think it suggests both of those guys may not be in the red and blue for 2019 and beyond.
  11. I actually hope they don't. Hasn't been in the best of form and I don't think he gets his hands on the ball enough. Truth be told, I'd rather Kent or Bugg or even AVB before I'd be selecting Hannan.
  12. Won't be ho hum for me. Another win is another step closer to finals and I'll take that any day of the week. Theoretically, we should account for them with relative ease as our form over the last month has been excellent, and that includes how we played against Geelong. They will be missing Lynch, May, Swallow and Martin, who are easily their best players, so even if they are up and about early we should be able to throttle them and put them away.
  13. Who replaces him this week will tell us plenty about the pecking order, and potential new deals, for a few players. In terms of the closest 'like for like' switch, you would think Dean Kent is the bloke who would replace him. However, if Vanders does get the call up, you would think that it puts a line through a few guys like Kent and Bugg. If they go with AVB, especially after having missed so much time, then I think it's a pretty clear indication of where these guys sit at the club. I'm hopeful Melksham misses a maximum of two weeks as his play in our forward half is crucial. His ability to hit a target and hit the scoreboard cannot be underestimated. He will be missed, but hopefully it's only very short term.
  14. Gun. He is the one player my 3 year old daughter recognises the moment he hits the TV screen. Has to be the AA ruckman. His rucking stats speak for itself. He might not win as much ball as Grundy, but he is a far better ruckman than he is.
  15. We have been told all year that if they have the slightest niggle, they go to the rehab group. Funny how that continually proves to be an untrue piece of information.
  16. If it had to happen, I'd rather it now than in a few weeks time. Rest up Milkshake. Time to unleash AVB!
  17. He linked an article that not only doesn't mention us at all, but the first sentence says that the bloke is cooked. Not sure what he tried to achieve by posting it.
  18. Hopefully this information is slightly better than the Brayshaw info you spruiked on here, which turned out to be absolute rubbish.
  19. 35,000 would be a good crowd. 157 of these are Gold Coast supporters.
  20. None of the last 4 games should hold any fears for us. We know we can match it with anyone, and if we continue to play at the level we have been, then there is absolutely no reason why we can't go extremely close to winning all of the last 4 games.
  21. The only question I have is this: What in the world is a 'Powerrangers EGO Stance'?? Do I even really want to know what it is? Yes, I get it's a reference to the Crows, but I don't get the reference.
  22. I'll take that. I'd like to think I'm a little more measured than just seeing the good all the time, but I'd rather the above than the alternative. I'll go back to being a bot now...
