My cousin is involved at Glenelg. Billy's played a handful of U18's games & a game for the reserves. He's doing pretty well considering he should be playing U17's.

The AFL is riddled with players who have come off the rookie list or gone late in the draft or come straight out of state leagues & gone on to be some of the best in the comp. Players like Dane Swan, Sam Mitchell or Michael Barlow, the list goes on. We have our fair share of guys who've gone in the first round. Watts, Trengove, Toumpas, Hogan etc... Getting better as time goes on. Must of got a lot of confidence from his 6 goals and 25 touches at Casey a few weeks back. I think Neeld likes him too.

I've always had the opinion that it just doesn't mean enough for our players. I'm sure there's a group that do care & want to get the best out of them but you need everyone buying in to be successful. I don't know anymore, It's bloody annoying hearing this sort of crap come out.

Lol Pederson couldn't get a kick all pre season, then got dropped after he couldn't get near it in round one now gets promoted after not getting a kick for Casey. Can somebody make sense of all that?

Maybe he'll play against West Coast?

I was at the Casey game and couldn't be more impressed by Gawn. His tap ruck work was great he tackles, takes grabs. I really like the look of the big fella. The only thing is he may need some more fitness and game time.

Frawley's gone as soon as his contract is up & I don't blame him, we've been rubbish the entire time he's been at the club.

Both Spencer & Gawn are playing today, hopefully one of them shows something.

Not sure we were ever 10mil in debt & as for making a profit well you can thank the MCC the AFL & the good hearted people who give a lot of money to the club each year for that.

Something is still not right from the 186 fallout. I don't know exactly what it is but something is still festering from that fallout. IMO trust has been broken between players and the board. DM & CS have tried to sweep things under the carpet without actually addressing anything as if nothing ever happened.

Showed a list of our 1st round draft picks since 03, It's not overly pretty that's for sure. I honestly can't believe somebody was getting paid to draft these guys.

Maybe his game plan is to technical, to much of his so called university for football. It seems like they over think everything & look confused. Maybe he needs to strip it all back & get back to basics.

That's not true, you obviously need to pay more attention. McLardy has clearly said the board won't be taking questions on certain topics at the last two AGMs.

While we're on assistant coaches, does anyone else find it strange that Leigh Brown was instantly made a full time assistant coach when he hadnt coached any kind of team at all?
