Well he hosts the show, whether or not it's his is completely up for debate !!!
-
He doesn't........ Seriously his name should be no where near this list.
-
But he really doesn't, even on his show League Teams its like any change Melbourne make is either irrelevant or not understood. I would have thought that at the very least a host would have done a little bit of research on the changes to all sixteen teams you are paid to talk about. Maybe that is just me and my flighty imagination!!! Having said that he really wasn't too bad yesterday other than not really knowing the Dees at all well.
-
Oh me too......not sure what that says about us !!! And add me to the ever growing list of folk who think that this might be McNamara's time to debut.
-
Very clever Bub :D !!!
-
Yep, God forbid your opinion differs from the masses !!!
-
So it's a take over then? !!!

There's no double standard just different opinions, of which we are all allowed and should be able to state without being accused of being criminally disloyal...... There seems to be two extreme schools of thought when it comes to Bruce. Those that deem him "perfect" or "untouchable" or at least uncriticisable, for want of a better word, and are therefore regarded as stupid and weak by the other lot who in turn then get called "disloyal" and "bashers" for thinking that he isn't quite as good as he should or could be. Both schools of thought are of course insane, because he is neither the perfect player nor the patsy, but he is having trouble with his disposal and I can't imagine anyone thinking otherwise. Does that make him ineffective? No not necessarily, but it does certainly diminish his capacity to be influential on a game of football, and we need that from a player of his stature. I understand the stats and respect those that see the level of his importance to the team in them. But to me offloading effectively is more than just hitting a team mate, and he has had a (increasing) tendency of putting people under pressure. Is he alone in this? Hell no, but he is a senior, highly paid player and that does factor into peoples thinking when a judgment is made. No-one here (aside from the obvious) has ever abused Cameron Bruce, because criticising his game is not abuse and that would not be tolerated (he is suspended). Criticism and questioning, however is. I am in complete agreement with you on the Maric-hoopla, I was waiting for the fall and it came with a thud and there was the predictable and sad knee jerk reactions of calling for the poor boys head. I don't like this, never have, never will. But you can't argue that Bruce is in the same boat as Maric. Age and experience blow that apart. So I don't think I can make it any simpler. As for it being the same players week in week out, well maybe that is because of the way they are playing. Most people on here don't have agenda's or make personal attacks on our players (some do granted but not many) and I'm pretty sure that once all these guys pull on the jumper they all, no matter what, have our full and undivided support. You have not been here long enough to see what a real whipping boy copped a couple of years ago, but suffice to say wishing him injury and harm were not out of the equation. The stuff Brad Miller copped then was nothing short of appalling, and I even wore abuse for sticking up for him. This talk of Bruce is nothing more than that...talk, if it gets to that point it will be stopped, but as you said opinions are allowed, even if they make you want to scream bloody murder
-
Well every now and again !!!
-
Ok petjud we are allowed to be critical of anyone who we don't think is playing well and Bruce should not be immune...... And just because someone does have the apparent audacity to criticise a man who should be playing better in my opinion they are lumped in with YM. He has nothing to with my opinion, and I would think nothing to do with Jaded's opinion who's post was being responded to here. Don't think for a second that we don't have, and aren't entitled to our own opinions, that's just offensive. And if you don't like what we have to say, then I'm sorry, that is just tough luck. You are not giving intelligent people the right to hold an opinion of their own, simply because it is not yours and happens to coincide with a poster you don't agree with.
-
Geez you get testy when it comes to someone, anyone, daring to criticise Bruce.......
-
Nope, just damn Collingwood !!!
-
You mean his one, single, solitary game, today? Yeah throw him out for one poor match, excellent idea  .
-
A poor game, very minimal experience, against a great side, and we want to chuck him to the wolves? That makes us very ordinary in my opinion, and why shouldn't need to be explained. Pathetic.
-
6. Morton 5. Frawley 4. Davey 3. Moloney 2. Jones 1. Robertson
-
So if they all jumped off the Harbour Bridge, would you go too?!!!
-
Well said..... Not to mention there are a few in line for the chop first, or at least there probably should be at this stage.
-
You would seriously drop a kid for playing poorly in his sixth AFL game and first for the season? I find that staggering, honestly, and a little sad that there are still people not willing to give one of our kids a chance to learn and develop. Very disappointing .......
-
Amen...... Poor game aside, this thread is a pretty bloody ordinary one.
-
Even made the news up here !!!
-
Don't bother arguing with Freak kids, he has it in for Miller......
-
Yes because all NSW politicians are just that stupid...... I hope that I agree with you that it will not work, at least not now and should not be pursued, definitely not now. And please RR just because you don't like or understand another code of footy does not mean you are leading the pack (despite what you seem to think). League numbers do not and never have drawn the same crowds as AFL does in Victoria, but that is hard;y the point. The Swans don't either and are dwindling. It took a Premiership for people here to actually pay attention. There is a cultural difference it seems. We just don't turn up, and to put an unpopular sport with no crowd in foreign very guarded territory would be suicide. You do not live here and frankly seem to have little idea it seems as to what Sydney is or isn't in these terms. The AFL has done little to no ground work up here, very small numbers of junior AFL is played and in basic numbers league (out west at least) and soccer still rule as the sports of choice. And it will take a miracle to change that. Thus there are no kids growing into the sport. Just because Sydney is a "big market" doesn't mean everything will fit. We already have four footy codes (collective of nine NRL teams, the Waratahs, domestic union comp with 12 teams, Sydney FC, and the Swans) vying for a fairly inactive crowd. There is probably too many now, and to add another (of the least popular code) to the mess will be a disaster for the AFL. Just my opinion (from someone who live north of the border) !!!
-
Not quite, but getting closer !!! This is good news and looking forward to hearing how he goes......
-
And this pet project of his seems to have taken a fairly large hit......... West Sydney is AFL's Vietnam The warning came as the AFL's plan for a second Sydney team hit a major hurdle with the New South Wales Government withdrawing financial backing for the expansion. The Government has told the AFL it will not help fund the $100 million redevelopment of the Sydney Showground at Homebush, where a second AFL side was set to be based from 2012.
