Breaking the hoodoo.
So many games on the big stage that the club should have won and we folded. Apart from being smashed in two Grand finals, the saddest loss for me was being spanked by the lions (I think) after Jimmy's passing. I just felt so gutted that we didn't turn up for the bloke. After 54 years of supporting this club, I want them to play solely tonight for Nathan Jones. To lift themselves to a new level and play relentlessly hard football for four quarters. Please let this be the year we transform back into a ruthless football club.

NON MFC: Rd 06 2021
I've just switched on to watch the 3rd quarter. I've seen more exciting Auskick games.

CHANGES: Rd 06 vs Richmond
Oh I agree. It's just if we have too many "finishers" - Weed, BB, Melksham and Tmac to some extent, it leaves the tackling pressure to just a few up forward. We've got to strike a balance and everyone has to chase and tackle.

CHANGES: Rd 06 vs Richmond
I think Ben Brown has one of the lowest tackle counts in the league too. Interesting.

Tmac talked about making space for each other and forward pressure as being really important for them this year in his post match interview. Hopefully they can execute again this week.

Kate Roffey Set to Become President of the MFC
Yes, it was so good. I wrote a letter to Pert after that debacle stating I wouldn't renew my membership until the club did something about on field performance. Great to see the president call it out publicly. Great to see us (and our women's team) playing great footy.

Nathan Jones 300 Games
A lovely article by Titus. There were some really dark days indeed. It was bad enough being a supporter. Imagine being Jonsey

Nathan Jones 300 Games
He got a free on the weekend while copping a knee into his head on the bottom of a pack. Had a chuckle to myself that it's probably well over 300 knees and elbows that shiney noggin has copped. An incredibly tough and resilient human being both physically and mentally. Can't wait for Saturday

Defensive pressure in our f50 is the key to us scoring. Tmac said this straight after the game. We played 15 mins of blistering footy yesterday. We'll need to play four qtrs against the tigers. Melksham doesn't tackle or run hard both ways. He has great skills but not the effort and intensity we need to be part of a top four team. He got a great big hug from the coach after the game. He's in. I reckon Jordan could do with a rest. Sparrow in. May in for Petty Weid in for Mitch Brown (maybe. Still not sold on the Weid being a top forward. Benny Brown needs some more fitness from watching the Casey game) I wouldn't risk Fritta. He needs those hands to clunk marks and tackle. Those questioning Tmacs value are a bit mad. He's getting back to his best. Clunks marks and kicks straight- POSTGAME: Rd 05 v Hawthorn
There were two brilliant passages of play. That first chase and tackle on CJ was perfect on the back flank. One minute later, his repeated scrambles for the ball against two hawthorn opponents resulted in a goal to Kysaiah. The forward pressure he brings is one of the main reasons for our turnaround this year.it was missing early on yesterday but once we started locking it in our forward line, the flood gates opened. This kid is a pure joy to watch.- Chunky

I thought Bedford was great too. He seems to love hurting people and tackled like a machine. Our forward pressure was missing for the first half and I reckon he'd be awesome in the forward line with Pickett and Spargs. I'd love to see Ben Brown back in but Weid played the better game and would tackle more than BB. Jones has to play next week. I think Jordan is ready for a rest and I still think Melksham is a skier.- GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Hawthorn
Mathews still talked him down after that brilliant chase down and goal later on. He's an absolute gem.- GAMEDAY: Rd 05 vs Hawthorn
