POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Completely agree, racking up wins in third gear. We are going to be scary good when we finally clunk into overdrive. I thought we slipped into some old bad habits with bombing it into our f50 just because of our tall forwards but I'm sure we'll sort it out. Highlights Tmac is just so steady. Kossie. His one handed pick up at full tilt in the wet on the outer wing. He is a pure joy to watch. The Wall of Demons. There were a couple of times where I watched Carlton try to transition across and we just ran so hard to form a wall of players and block their options. it must be awesome to see it happen at the ground. Keep banking the points Jack is back next week.

As compared to the play on call in the first when the Carlton player missed it completely during a tackle. Fmd

GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Yep, close to BOG. Jetta and Mitch Brown up there as well. Brown probably won it for us with goals late in the game. Beat Geelong by a point. They steadied it really well late in the game to get the win. Poor kicking at goal almost cost us. So Sparrow won't be playing today and Petracca ran through a full session yesterday with no problems evidently. The one thing I want from this home and away season is to never have to worry about percentage at all for once. Just keep banking the points boys.

Current Umpiring
Don't forget the amount of times the ball is pinned in by the tackler when the player is trying to get rid of it. The tackler gets rewarded for HTB when they're the ones slowing play down. The spirit of the game has always been to protect and reward the player going for the ball. As mentioned above, the umpires need to be professionals if they're serious about it. Umpires should also be dropped if they've had a poor game. It is a very hard game to adjudicate and the AFL needs to invest in umpiring as a career of sorts if they want a good standard of game. I watched a Norf player (I think) last week get penalised for deliberate when he kicked forward into his own forward 50 and it shanked off the side of his boot. That ump should have been dropped. Also stop with the stupid rule changes for the sake of change. Hocking.....

Amazing to see Geelong in third place. They really don't deserve to be there, but on the other hand, I'd love to see us destroy them in a final again.

What they're saying down at Royal Parade
Yep, saw him lots of times just trying to get a run at the ball and just being scragged. He did alright last week and he'll learn to beat those tags. He's just too good

CHANGES: Rd 09 vs Carlton
With Tmacs tank and marking, I think he's better to move up the ground and help Max I was worried about BBs defensive pressure but he seemed to chase pretty hard against the Swans even if he didn't lay too many direct tackles. I'm sure he's with the program on defensive pressure. I'd say it's Weid in for Jackson. Still not fussed on Melksham. If it's wet I'd prefer Jones, Sparrow or Chandler in for him but I doubt it will happen.

Bolton, Rioli Involved in Night Club Fight
Hopefully we'll snag a premiership cup this year. In which case being showered with beer will probably be the commencement of a really big night for us all. Fingers crossed

May charged and fined for striking Buddy?
Exactly, it's the inconsistency that makes it all bs. This will count against May if he is cited (by football commentators) again this season I would assume. I doubt it's worth pursuing an appeal but I can just see another borderline widely talked about infringment at the end of the season against May coming back to haunt us.

May charged and fined for striking Buddy?
They mentioned it three times on the tv coverage after it happened. I knew he'd at least get a fine because that's the way the tribunal works. The commentators cite the players. Just ridiculous. There was nothing in it. How much did Hawkins pay for breaking May's eye socket?

Classic Selwood duck then for that goal. Blues starting to panic a bit now.

Carlton win by a point would be good for us. Silvagni maybe concussed. Any other injuries? I've just tuned in.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Sydney
Yeah I wonder if Sparrow standing in for Viney might have helped last night. I do wonder if Petracca will pull up ok or it they'll rest him next week. If so, Sparrow should have his chance but Yze has some work ahead of him this week.

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Sydney
There was a moment in the third I think through the centre corridor where Salem was almost caught but spun out of the tackle and in the same movement delivered a stab pass straight down a team mate's throat. Awesome

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Sydney
One of the best things about this start is watching Tom sticking it the doubters. It's also worth mentioning that our kicking for goal across the board has really improved. Makes a huge difference.
