Not really thrilled.
Poor last quarter.
The 3 goals against cost us 3rd spot on the ladder by %.
Sounds trivial?
It isn't and wont be come final time.
No it didn’t. Port are a game ahead of us.

Hahaha ! The commentators were talking about Cox's cut.
They almost got it right.
It was actually a bump right on his circumcision scar.

Super proud dad moment to report.
Heading to Coles with my 11-year-old daughter this morning. The Sydney Carlton game was mentioned on radio while we were driving there.
My daughter said, “please tell me Carlton didn’t win”.
I asked why she didn’t want Carlton to win. She said “because Carlton. And Collingwood", while waving her finger in a shaking her head in a No No gesture. "We don't ever want them to win".
I told her to add Essendon to the list and gave her a big hug when we got out of the car.
Excellent parenting.

Steve albini died? You're kidding.
He can't have been that old. That's a shock.
Legend is thrown around too easily in my humble, but there's debating his status as one of great producers, particularly in the rock space.
Righteous fella too.
Vale Steve.
Yeah. Aged 61. Heart attack.

Thanks WCW, club sent another email an hour ago about upgrading again. Ticketek still showing exhausted for most of the allocations as per the screenshot above. A bit of joke they would do that when the game is nowhere nearly sold out.
The same email says:
"Home and Away members can scan their membership card or mobile membership to gain general admission access on match day."
Does this mean they're projecting a low crowd, therefore just swiping in for GA isn't an issue?
I want to take my kids to their first Anzac Eve game, but don't want to muck around with the process of getting tickets if it's going to be a bun fight.

Currently on a family roadtrip to SA. Today we stopped at Kingston SE for some fresh lobster and fish n chips for lunch. Turns out the couple that run Lacepede Seafood are massive Dees fans, as discovered when I rocked in wearing my Narrm beanie.
Other customers lined up as the bloke and I chatted footy. My kids then started singing Grand Old Flag as we ate succulent fresh lobster and perfectly cooked fish n chips - highly recommend.
Oh and his Mrs reckons we’re a shoe-in for the flag.
We’ll be on Kangaroo Island tomorrow night, but I’ll shout CARNAFCKNDEES across the water.- 11

🤔… I just tried to post a full list of players and their nicknames but it seems the post is pending approval. That usually happens when there’s a questionable word such as the shortened name for Richard, which can also be a derogatory term. The only ‘offending’ word I can think of is ‘Spaz’ (Tommy Sparrow) 🤷♀️
It’s a good thing we don’t have Jason Horne-Francis in our side. His nickname is Horney 😂
Edit: all good. It’s been approved. 🙂
My North supporting mates called him ‘Horny Frank’

I took my 8 year old girls last night and echo the sentiments already posted.
The way the players engage with fans is just brilliant, we sat right next to the players race and the kids got high fives, smiles and thank yous from nearly every player running off. The kids were beside themselves! I stayed calm cool and collected this time.
Agree crowd was disappointing given such high stakes; we attended the R1 game v Pies by way of comparison. Although we were sitting on front of Alyssa Bannon’s mum who has a fair set of pipes on her, she compensated for the missing decibels.
It was a hard, contested game and we were fierce with our pressure and tackling across the ground. Hats off to the defence, particularly Gillard, who were just a brick wall. Hanks is gun, clearly a cut above when watching live. Paxy was the usual workhorse. Zanker imposed herself on the contest and took some great marks. Excellent team game against quality oppo.Top of the ladder, baby!
Let’s hope we get some home finals at Ikon, it’s a great venue. Except for the hideous ScumBaggers logo, surely they can cover it up for other games?!

Thanks, @Deemented Are Go! and @Chook, for the discussion on Paxy and their preference for address.
Except for here, I am on no social media, where I presume they made their public statement on this. I was aware they had formally changed their name (perhaps it was on here?) but missed the further important detail. So, my observation about the commentary was solely about the sentiment it expressed.
And it was one of the women, btw.
In passing, I also liked the insight that Paxy did not, and still does not, 'follow footy' and does not 'have a team'.
Indeed, the sentiment in the commentary was great!
My short term memory must be shot, I was sure it was Harford that made the comment 🥴.CARNAMIGHTYDEES!

Honest mistake, surely. Humans are hardwired to refer to people as him/her and it takes conscious effort to get it right 100% of the time. While it's important to try to respect peoples wishes anyone who makes a gender/dead-name or similar mistake in good faith shouldn't be criticised as being "cringe". It's the ones who refuse to acknowledge the wishes of the person who we need to focus on.
Yeah for sure, I’m assuming Harford wasn’t aware. But as public broadcasters perhaps they should be. I’m not saying he’s cringe, rather that Paxy may cringe upon hearing ‘her’.
it’s all education.

Just watched Zurich 'Goals For Good'. Yep, they sure were gooood.
But to my point: One piece of commentary I did like was, 'Paxy Paxman! Get around her!'
And what a smile (laugh?)!
The part of that commentary I didn’t like was ‘her’.
Paxy has publicly stated they identity as they/them, not she/her. This was inherent with their recent name change. Commentators need to be more aware of identity preferences and pronouns, I know Paxy would cringe on hearing that.- 1
