  1. I'd have thought this thread does the opposite. It shows that (many) Melbourne fans are passionate about winning a flag at all costs and are happy that the club is doing all it can to achieve this goal. How is anyone (aside from those complaining about the tank) wallowing in misery in this thread?
  2. Still can't believe he kicked it. I hope I never have to enjoy a loss again as a supporter.
  3. Hey, hey, he can make it to 192cm and still be a star...as long as he grows past it first!
  4. Um, OK. Is this in reference to, well, anything?
  5. I see where you're coming from but can't agree. Cats finished on top of the ladder 2 of the last four years for 2 premierships. I couldn't call that underperforming. Obviously any team that loses a Granny would be disappointed, but surely things can be evened out.
  6. But of course, you won't research that... I mean, why would you want supporting evidence?
  7. And criticizing and suggesting are differnt skills obviously, as you still haven't backed up anything you said. You're kidding that he doesn't rotate his bowlers, absolutely joking. You've forgotten what life was like before Mcgrath/Warne.
  8. Can you, for once, back up a rant with some substance. Who should be playing instead whom? " If a bowler continues not to bowl to plan, then as captain first i would ask why? and try to fix it. If it continues then a new bowler must be used" - sounds pretty reactionary to me. It's a brilliant point, I'm sure Ponting hasn't thought of going to those lengths to see why a bowler is not doing his job.
  9. ... I didn't make the poll. Too young and not enough games, but leadership "written all over him."
  10. Brad Green. Jack Grimes in the LG.
  11. For a tall, athletic forward who can take a very good mark and seems very good below his knees, can also pinch-hit in the ruck and has a lot of development left in him, I'd think a late first rounder- but probably early second rounder would be in the park. Having said that, my initial point is that I don't believe the Swans ever wanted to test the waters for him - which probably says something. There are certain Dees players who probably would go for around the same pick (maybe even a pick in the late 20's) who many on here, including myself, would bemoan to see leave.
  12. But what about the straight trade number swaps? And why wouldn't it just have been left at Cheney for 52... no need to average anything out? I don't believe Sydney wanted to trade White at all.
  13. Sounds like someone needs a wowwy-pop.

  15. But then why would GC agree.
  16. Can someone please give me a logical reason why teams switch late round picks (i.e. why did we throw in pick 66 with Cheney, and last year the Cats and Weagles traded a pick in the 90's for one in the 80's)? Thanks in advance.
  17. And a massive loss for the Swans.
  18. But would you let in the upper or lower half?
  19. Hasn't he spent two years on the Rookie List already? I think he must be promoted.
  20. Not by much, but I care more about Sheehan's view of the top 50 AFL players than the Pope's. I see this as a vehicle to talk about who we view as the top 50 players of the year. Pretty simple really.
