  1. "The Scream" describes my life as an MFC supporter quite aptly
  2. It's a hidden epidemic. All the baby books talk about how great it is being a prospective parent (and it is), but 1 in 4 is very high. I have heard other figures before, eg 33%, but the exact number I'm not sure is known. The high rate of miscarriages is brushed under the carpet and not talked about. Put it into punting terms ... you'd keel over with joy if you could get a steady 1 in 4 on horses.
  3. So this slap in the face to all the AFL employees who were retrenched is actually real value for money!
  4. Imagine if they sponsored an entire local league somewhere. They'd get enormous feel-good PR. As opposed to what they're getting now, which is exposure, but tainted
  5. The AFL have lost the plot. It's been suspected for some time, but this makes it official.
  6. Nev, I'd love you to stay as a player mentor, but you know the old saying ... there's a sucker born every minute ... a fool and his money are soon parted .... TAKE THE DEAL!!
  7. Ooze will ease him in with Hawthorn IP for Dummies: when a team scores a lot of goals in row against you, try to stop them doing it when your guys have the ball, have them try to kick it to another one of your guys Landmark stuff which could prove very useful.
  8. I've got the funny feeling that the situation you allude to was pre-Worsfold and just may have involved a golden haired idol who was in over his head.
  9. Before then, let's have a Worsfold situation where the nominal head coach cuts oranges and the assistant does the heavy lifting
  10. If it was New Idea, Clarrie would have been spotted with a diamond engagement ring and is suspected to be pregnant.
  11. Hopefully not when he's the one with the ball.
  12. Counterpoint: Goodwin
  13. While we're on the topic of Leppitsch ... Tiger fans I know credit the Tigers' turnaround to Leppitsch rather than any "road to Damascus" moment by Hardwick.
  14. Clarkson might view the MFC job as a tasty challenge, but does he have the burn? What does he have to prove? Whereas a guy like Brad Scott has the urge to prove himself, the tactical nous, the c---, and with our list, he won't be starting from scratch. Lyon similar but out of the game too long now?
  15. It could be that Hoges has become "known to police" since his move back to WA, and they've decided to take this chance to make an example of him. Perhaps D-landers in WA with connections to law enforcement can confirm/correct/explain/rubbish this.
  16. "Yeah, unfortunately Jade wasn't up to it ... Freo didn't think much of him ... but we're hopeful of landing him a coaching gig at another club in spite of that." Not saying that's what really happened, but if Pickering said it was night time you'd look outside to make sure.
  17. With or without good behaviour?
  18. While we're indulging in thought experiments, how about: scion of Collingwood royalty, Heath Shaw, coaches MFC to their first flag in decades, with scion of Collingwood royalty, Sam Weideman, kicking his 9th in the last minute to seal the come-from-behind victory. The premiership cup is handed over by new AFL CEO Eddie McGuire.
  19. Cesspool, and Fox Sports should have more restraint and good judgement than to validate the chumps and low lives who post their hate on it. The cesspool organisation has a business model that works against human decency and high morals and has been shown to cause depression.
  20. MFC backline coach Heath Shaw
  21. And polo playing. Don't forget the polo playing.
  22. Leaked by an oppo club to spook us into keeping him
  23. When a coach that prizes manic attack on the ball, and not much else, sees a player who manically attacks the ball, and does little else, he thinks "that's my kind of player ... he wins my vote for the B&F".
  24. Erm ..... how long have you been barracking for this club again?
