  1. Not surprised, too busy drinking the bath water to proof read? haha, sorry, long day at work, need a laugh
  2. At least we know who to put into the 'obnoxious [censored]' category
  3. I was expecting more swear words. Watts has been talked up so much but he hasn't even been drafted yet. What if Melbourne pick someone else? Is that player going to be instantly hated by the mob? For years we as a group have blown far too early, i hope this isn't another one of those situations.
  4. Do you make a habit of abusing people you meet? I don't. Sure I've had disagreements with people selling products/services but that doesn't give me the god given right to abuse whoever I like.
  5. How anyone could vote for this peanut is beyond me, the fact that she has been in politics for so long is a sad indicment on our society.
  6. A lawyer died and arrived at the pearly gates. To his dismay, there were thousands of people ahead of him in line to see St. Peter. But, to his surprise, St. Peter left his desk at the gate and came down the long line to where the lawyer was standing. St. Peter greeted him warmly. Then St. Peter and one of his assistants took the lawyer by the hands and guided him up to the front of the line into a comfortable chair by his desk. The lawyer said, "I don't mind all this attention, but what makes me so special?" St. Peter replied, "Well, I've added up all the hours for which you billed your clients, and by my calculation you must be about 150 years old!"
  7. How funny would it be if we didn't take Watts?
  8. Worst case scenario: Carroll doesn't pull on a MFC jumper ever again and we pay out his contract Best case scenario: Carroll doesn't pull on a MFC jumper ever again and we pay out his contract ok, it would be nice to not have to include his salary next year but our real gain will be not having him anywhere near the club, we really need to instigate a 'no [censored]' policy.
  9. Nah, it was Lee.
  10. I'd be rapt if we got Swift at 17 or 19. I know he's a risk but if his body held togethor he's going to be an absolute gun. I think he will fall to our pp because of the risk factor and clubs will be leaning to 'playing it safe' this year.
  11. Thought so
  12. Of course we can and it's laughable to think otherwise.
  13. Did you follow the debate or just reply to that one post? Sounds like the latter
  14. Even though we finished last I think that Bailey did a good job with rebuilding the team, except for the leadership issue. Clearly he got it wrong at the start of the year but hopefully he'll have learnt from his mistake.
  15. Actually you couldn't be more wrong. I know that the NAB is increasing sponsorships at the moment with several new programs being launched, we just pick our target areas to market to and unfortunately the MFC isn't one of them.
  16. Chris Grant was 100+ from memory.
  17. Nah, good post. German beer is good but I prefer the Japanese stuff at the moment - clean and fresh!
  18. Bruce was originally a supplementry listed player and the club made a decision between him and Peverill on who to draft. For prvious drafts I use footywire.com, very comprehensive and you can do searches by club or by the year of the draft.
  19. Palmer is doing alright, great pickup for his pick.
  20. Do we really need a non-Melbourne supporter like this producing these types of posts trolling our forum? Do us all a favour and put a block on it's ip address.
  21. No, I don't buy that for one second. It's not fait accompli that a club who receives alot of early draft picks automatically gets a shot at a premiership a couple of years down the track. Our chance will only come if we do everything right, from drafting and developing the kids to getting our game plan right. Premiership are earnt through hard work, not having a couple of crap seasons.
  22. Decent beach? In the bay? Champagne comedy at it's best. (or worst considering your point of view)
  23. I hope you're right but for every club like Hawthorn there is many clubs who spent years on the bottom and not make the climb to the top of the ladder. St.Kilda, Bulldogs and Fremantle come to mind. (Carlton have yet to prove themselves despite 'farming' draft picks for half a decade) It's not a free ride.
  24. Was a favourite of the Melbourne supporters fans in the members area. Cries of 'Go number 38' was heard all the way through the season.

Right now? Probably not. In debt for millions, just finished last, inconsistent training facilities. Doesn't look all that good from the outside. We have alot of work to do.
