  1. KPP's....
  2. Not sure if this will get through but the success the current board has had with our new training facilities in the Olympic Park precinct has been one of the best things achieved by this club for 40 years. This sometimes gets lost when discussing this current board's efforts.
  3. He presented poorly when in the forwardline however our poor performance across the field didn't help.
  4. Bazza, what do you mean by that and how does the current board see the club from a suit position?
  5. In other parts of the game Bell was one of the few to fire up and get aggressive, I just think he chooses his battles a little smarter than other guys playing..
  6. Has a coach ever been officially interviewed for the role while currently coachign another team before? I knwo it's happened before but normally off the record.
  7. He took some decent marks on the weekend. It's widely acknowledged that the bigger guys normally takes a little longer to develop so don't judge him just yet. Give it another couple of years before teeing off.
  8. I disagree, we need stability at the top right now but the main question is who will replace them? It's great to say get rid of them but unless you have the skills and time yourself then you need some decent names to put forward.
  9. Thinking about the season we've had it's probably been the best possible timing with so many coming out of contract because hardly anyone has had great seasons so their bargaining power for bigger contracts is serverley weakened.
  10. Fair post Nasher, almost agree with everything. I've highlighted the 8 I think should go. Bizzell gets another year to help develop the kids. Miller, CJ and Godfrey help with depth to cover injuries. Trade wise - Consider trading 1 or 2 of: Jeff White Russell Robertson Cameron Bruce Travis Johnstone You have to offer quality to get quality but I would only part with these guys for something special. Also promote Neaves and Bode off the rookie list
  11. I think Sylvia can be a fine player but there is no way that he is as good as Murphy currently is or has the potential to reach. McLean perhaps, but compare him to Murphy. Murphy has been tagged all year and he is still producing the goods, whereas McLean is struggling even though he's older. Bate I'm not convinced he has what it takes to be an elite player, he definitely didn't show it today.
  12. What a wonderful decision that was to get our inside midfielders to slim down.
  13. Football is a confidence sport and lets face it, we've had all the confidence knocked out of us. Next year some guys we be better and some will be delisted or traded, but we just have to continue to develop soem of the younger guys like Frawley and Newton.
  14. Gibbs and Murphy are both going to be excellent midfielders, I'm not sure that any of our young guys are in their league.
  15. There is really only one game where we're in danger of winning and that's against Carlton.
  16. Dunn hasn't shown anything to suggest that he will be either a CHF or a CHB. Bate is a midfielder who can occasionally pinch hit as a forward.
  17. Agree, however we need new players across the ground, the list of what we need is (and in order of importance): 1. Quick and talented one grab midfielder (x2) 2. CHF 3. Ruckman 4. Small forward
  18. Sadly in reality he's lucky to be playing with Sandy's first team and not stuck in the reserves.
  19. Really? I'm sure this has heppened before...
  20. Neaves not playing is an absolute joke, how are you meant to development a player with potential when he's forced to play for Sandringham's reserve team?
  21. Luck plays a very big part. Using the Eagles as an example they had one very poor year where they ended up with the 3rd pick overall, it just happened to be one of the best drafts with three very, very talented kids comning through. They were alos lucky that the two clubs preceeding them decided to skip on Judd because they were concerned about his shoulders. They were also lucky that Cousins opted to go to them under the father and son rule rather than Geelong.
  22. There's been alot of talk about Bate solving our problem at CHF, however I'm not convinced that he is a true KPP. If you compare him to Travis Cloke who is doing well in that position and is a similiar age then you begin to realise that he has a long way to go. He's shown brief glimpses of contested marking but he lacks size to be a true dominating CHF, he rather plays the role similiar to Brad Miller, long leading mark and handball to a running player. The question is whether he is a KPP who can play as a midfielder, or a midfielder who can pinch hit as a KPP?
  23. It actually happens quite alot.
  24. West Coast currently have three of the top five midfielders in the competition right now, they're able to run all day (or night), they have the strength to break tackles and they are great leaders on the park. We can talk tactics until the cows come home however without the right cattle we'll never be a real contender.
  25. I'd imagine that Hawthorn fans would disagree with you.
