PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 10th December 2025
Gastro apparently. Yes, I think it was Scarlett - looks like Wednesday is his day. Well spotted re Ryan Hoffman - had the official tracksuit on. Maybe a tackling specialist coach?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 10th December 2025
Hard to say - but they are clearly being cautious. Of all on our list he should be able to catch up on the conditioning. Even on the bike he goes hard!

PRESEASON TRAINING: Wednesday 10th December 2025
Apologies for the late report. Absent: Bowey (understandable) JVR and Mentha (gastro mentioned) and Laurie Serious rehabbers: bikes, etc.. Viney and Henderson Contuining rehab: Mathhews, off his PCL, McAdam off his achilles, AMW Niggles only in rehab: Gawn, Campbell, Langford, Melksham, Langdon, Turner Concur re Trelly and Culley as standouts. Onley hard to get a read on (athletic build) - no serious matchsim today. AJ and Kentfield look seriously fit. Good to see Mihocek seems to have no issue with his toe/tendon, has been in full training for a while - same with Steele and CJ. Heath hasn't missed a session - in other words the trades (in) are looking good.

Doesn't look like the same guy in the LInkedIn profile - also coaches tennis?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 8th December 2025
Apologies - didn't really stand out. Will keep a closer Onley watch on Wednesday, and report back...

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 8th December 2025
Not too worried about Lingers - he was running freely.
-
PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 8th December 2025
Max was running unimpeded - probably just wanted him to avoid the drills today....

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 8th December 2025
None of those three...see Ghosty's suggestion above. Follicly challenged chap.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 8th December 2025
Did not pick up on that today, although I saw photos of Scarlett in attendance last week - he is apparently committed to one day per week. There was a coach I did not recognise working with Whitford and the young ones.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 8th December 2025
Thanks Ghosty: Absent TMac, AMW and Bowey (surgery) - see above. Serious rehab - Viney, Henderson, McAdam, Matthews Other rehab - Langford, Turner, Gawn, Langdon, Melksham What's the opposite to "training the house down"? Let's see how many of the "other rehab" group participate on Wednesday. Another mixed bag of training - small group doing 3/4 field match sim. The remainder doing other craft drills. Whitford (Development coach) working with the draftees and Cat B's.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Earliest of early calls but LSP (Trelly) will be a gun......for how long, cannot predict.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
He's present. Struggling with the running. Twas always thus.....fascinating to see if he plays Round 1. Jed not present on Monday.....

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
Without being rude I would label Fritta a "caoster" at training - doesn't excel and doesn't hurt anyone. Turns up. Still in your best 23.... Unless King wants to make a statement.....?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
I concur. Too early to say where players will play, apart from the obvious - MIhocek and JVR forward - TMac and Petty back. I suspect King is observing the general chaos footy at early training and actual positioning will come later. He is being true to his word - "show me what you have", "play what's in front of you" - "get after it". For example, he has said we should get expect some of our half-backs raging forward and kicking goals, whilst some of our forwards push back to cover for them, "because of the chaos". Will be an interesting season - I guess we'll get the first look in the intra-clubs and practice matches early next year as to what this game style looks like. One things for sure - it will not be formulaic.

Training Ground?
Yep. That's the spot.

Solid.

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
I reckon we need to consider Kalani a "project". He'll learn a lot at Casey this year playing with either Heath or Tommy Campbell down there. Remember Max took a while....hopefully Kalani develops a little quicker because he doesn't smoke at his age....🙂

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
OK - the 19th was the word from Gussy boy - we'll report back to the DL crew.....Saturday the 13th is the Christmas Open Day, right?

PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 1st December 2025
Jed Adams the only absentee. Further to the other reports Viney, Henderson, Matthews and McAdam in what I would describe as "full rehab". Matthews getting special treatment related to his knee, so perhaps he is the furthest away from playing. Given Viney and McAdam are both achilles - hard to say about return dates. Henderson also hard to predict. Bowey running laps (but does not look far away) and Jeffo in and out as described above. JVR got a knock to the lip - went back to AAMI for some patchwork - and after that resorted to running. Pleasing aspects for me - Mihocek, Heath and Steele did the entire session unhampered and CJ did most of it. Trelly Pickett is a gun - not just his skills - but the running capacity, confidence and willingness to join in. Pencil him in for Round 1. Windsor everywhere, when the ball needed to be moved. I reckon Taylor will take a little while - in defence. Early call, but maybe not a lock for Round 1. Onley a good size and moved smoothly - all the draftees and CJ did quite a bit of running towards the end - obviously still building their bases. AMW looking better and better - let's see if he does full sessions from January. The word is that they will stay at Gosch's through until Friday 19 December. Training was scheduled for 10 am but they were out early and finished up around 12 pm. All the old boys doing good old boys' stuff, i.e. including TMac and Melky in that group. Lever moving freely. May - an interesting watch.

AFLW Trade Period 2025
Our women rarely train at Casey - mainly Gosch's.

2025 MFC Injury List
We might get a better idea of exactly what role he will have as they crank up the match sims. Geelong provides a good blueprint though with the way they use their paciest player, Holmes....let's see.

2025 MFC Injury List
So far Caleb has participated fully in all training sessions - we'll get a better glimpse of them all this week as they are at Gosch's MWF .....

2025 MFC Injury List
AMW has told us that he can only return to full training in the new year. His knee was pretty much mangled in that tackle at Arden Street last February, so whilst he has clearly done a power of work he may still be a watch re availability for Round 1 - more "boxes to tick" as they say. Jack Henderson seems still to be struggling with his groin at training and has not joined any of the main sessions. There has been nothing natural about his running form - also definitely a watch. Jack Viney also seems a bit sore at the moment - maybe an achilles? Photos from Bright show him working with Henderson. Not aware of anyone coming off surgery. Lever seems unhampered. Mihocek has to recover from his toe injury, but seems to be progressing well and CJ seems to be in and out of training drills - not sure what is going on there.... No update on Matthews coming off his PCL from last year - will get a look at him when they are back at Gosch's.
