  1. That's correct F&T - the CRRT is already on board and has in fact extended their MOU with the MFC until June/July 2026 to allow the government, i.e. the Premier, to knock the final heads together (i.e. the Sports Minister and the Racing Minister) and get the MRC to play ball - particularly re the tunnel access. The CRRT prefers us to be there because they will get more lease rental income to maintain their own operations and, more importantly, they will finally develop something meaningful inside the racecourse (i.e. two quality sporting ovals) which fits in with their master plan - which was the scope of the feasibility study completed some time ago. The MRC has, selfishly, never wanted anyone else in the precinct, except for the time when the school came along and represented an opportunity to wipe out their massive debts.
  2. I missed the first group too. The 12.15 pm group of 12 was made up of: Langford, Windsor, Steele, Gawn, Tholstrup, Culley, Langdon, Rivers, Heath, Sparrow, Kosi and Onley. Yes. Seemed to be a game based on a wobbly kick followed by two handballs, then kick again - anyway they had fun...
  3. All 23 present and accounted for this morning. T Mac and Heath (listed as emergencies) also present, but no Melksham. A very light and short session. Noticed Windsor chatting to one of the medical team, but otherwise he looked fine. Days like these are for the kids - Max and Jonesey's boys were there.
  4. Me neither but the socials show Kosi present and announcing Latrelle's debut on Sunday.....
  5. So now we have an official report from the Club - 8 unavailable for Round 1: 7 - TBC, 17 (8-10), 21 (4-6), 23 (2-4), 29 - TBC, 34 (4-6), 42 (4-6), 44 (4-6)
  6. Sorry about that Ghosty (important meeting with Hollywood) - so based on the four who attended the second session absentees today were: Viney, Lever, Bowey, Jefferson, McAdam, Campbell, Petty, Kosi (family thing), Cross, Johnson, Henderson, Kentfield. So I reckon unavailable for Round 1 re injury are 7, 17, 23, 29, 42, 43, 44. Nothing much else to report from training as they played soccer and then had shots at goal. Good to see that Culley ready to go....
  7. Nothing re Caulfield in the President's letter today? Perhaps tomorrow on the radio when we have our membership drive (SEN?).
  8. Thanks very much for this KC - I understand Deakyn Smith still working his way back from injury?
  9. Thanks KC. Had a quick chat with the Casey coach on Monday night. Unfortunately, because Hawthorn are playing in Opening Round, and even though Saturday's hitout is only a practice match, the AFL have determined that we apparently are not allowed to play AFL listed players against Box Hill who would otherwise may have played if the seniors were playing this weekend. For example, even though they may defintiely need this sort of hitout, and might not make our Round 1 team, that may mean that Tom Matthews and Xavier Taylor (who were both in our selected 26 last Friday) may not be able to play on Saturday - hopefully common sense prevails. Any idea when Casey might issue a team list and please some names and numbers that we can follow....
  10. He has been given 41.
  11. Not quite right - for example the MRC does have a big say in relation to the construction of tunnels under their leased track and the use of any other bits of land it leases from the CRRT. They have no interest in acquiescing to our plans (through necessity they are required to live with the school, but they don't have particular interset in us being there) - they will have to be forced to accept our presence and that requires political muscle which has not yet been flexed...
  12. Cheap shot. If a mainstream journalist reports something like this I believe it's important for the Club to clarify the matter, whether it is true or not. Our comms team have definitely lifted their game this year but they still need to be more agile on matters like this, which is important football information for supporters - particularly at this time of the year when the Club is, or should be, building our membership numbers.
  13. Spoke to Rhett - the new Casey coach and he said Paddy was actually running the family's plumbing busy because his father is on a "jolly" overseas. Kingy told him it was OK to take a half-day here or there until dad returns......the new way?
  14. That was at the B&F, not the launch....
  15. Official MFC season launch on Monday evening - maybe something said then?
  16. Quick Captain's Run - the 26 there were: JVR Salem Langford Lindsay Windsor Lever Steele Turner Gawn Tholstrup Jiath Langdon Laurie Taylor Matthews Howes Rivers TMac Sharp Fritsch Sparrow l. Pickett Petty K. Pickett Chandler Kentfield For the Community matches 26 is the stipulated number, so (if this is the starting 26) interesting to note - No Heath or Jefferson (Mihocek in protocols). Matthews gets a run and Petty is back. Still no AMW. Word from F&T is that Bowser's rehab is going very well.....
  17. Under the latest plan George, our headquarters is expected to be to the right of Glenhuntly Park shown on your map. Mount Scopus will be near Gate B.
  18. Still had the most hit-outs of any ruck and his tapwork in the second quarter got the Vics going I thought.
  19. On reflection, we would be closer to the Neerim/Queens Road intersection - which is classified as Park area. Makes sense as we would be leasing from the CRRT. We would not be in that "generally non-residential land use"area, so this zoning would not be directly relevant to us.....
  20. Very interesting - that's exactly where we want to be - south-east corner. Closer to Glenhuntly station than Caulfield.
  21. 4 of our first 6 at "home" at Casey. Just have to get on your bike a few times if you want to catch the AFL boys at the G... 9 of the 18 games at home. The only interstate matches are Sydney and Gold Coast matching up with our AFL games there.....
  22. So TC gets counted twice - once for North and once for the Saints....
  23. From the gallery, good to see Melksham was in an "action shot". Matthews also continuing to participate....did I also see a profile of Salem?
