That tunnel takes you INSIDE the track, potentially to the ovals. The planned building, gym etc.. are on the other side of the track, so you need access from Booran Road.
-
We just have to make sure we have clear access from Booran Road, through the Mt. Scopus site, to where our new home will be.
-
By the two gorillas I mean the MRC and the MFC, not Mount Scopus...
-
I think Farmer's point is that the MRC can stir up trouble if they think it is in their interests - see the VCAT comment. The CRRT clearly wanted two gorillas to deal with, rather than one - if the CRRT were ever to get funding to develop the space they are responsible for. The CRRT were never going to get significant funding out of the MRC. The question is whether the two gorillas can live on the same turf, or will the old gorilla fight the new one....?

I agree - but at least there is a plan; we'll be at Casey/Gosch's for the next few years. Good news for Kev! Maybe we will get more clarity when the Strategic Plan is "revealed" to us......?

My understanding is that would be like a regular Balanced superannuation fund portfolio that many of us have (a mixture of fixed interest, equities, etc..,) hence a bad year to 31 October 2023, but a good one to 31 October 2024. It's run by Morgan Stanley. What about a bit of transparency? Just let the members know what the investment guidelines are and give us quarterly updates on the performance. I mean if the Club goes bankrupt (unlikley) we all have to tip in $5 each - how hard it is to let us know how our "nest egg"is going; more often than once a year.
-
And nothing the year before! 8% p.a over the last 2 years - not too bad. Markets go up, markets go down. That warning was given to us by the COO. And how prescient he was. Dow down 3% last night...

Thanks Kev - the website is silent about the rest of this week. Will the boys be training Wednesday and Friday also?

This might help Katrina Statutory Result (1,605,505) Less Facility Related Funding (net) (750,000) Add back Net Legal Costs 925,680 Add back Player contract settlement (including oncosts) 3,123,612 Operating Profit 1,693,787

Apart from a lift in current payables (i.e. due within the next twelve months), there is an amount of $1,320,000 in non-current payables - labelled player contract settlement - which looks like the amount payable after 1 November 2025.

The Club has put $13 million into Casey since 2020. Just $9.6 million in cash/financial assets is currently set aside for the new home base. Caulfield has moved from Feasibility to Business Case stage - The Business Case will be undertaken throughout 2025, and if successful will be followed by funding allocations, detailed design and project delivery. Anyone's guess at the total cost - $80-120 million?

Here is the actual extract from the Directors' Report (I hope the cat's OK?): $3.1m expense (including on-costs) relating to settlement of Angus Brayshaw’s 2024 – 2028 playing contract following his medical retirement. Whilst payments will be split across multiple financial years, the total cost (including on-costs) is required to be recorded as an expense in 2024 in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards;

I understand we could have matched the bid with our pick - seems we were focussed on taking "AJ" at that pick no matter where Riak landed. -

I wonder how we get reliable information about Casey and its list? Peter Maynard seems to do a great job down there as the Manager - maybe the administrators can establish a line into him? -
