The earlier two "plots" would have involved a short tunnel under the track and straight up on to the ovals (or heaven forbid a walk across the track). The latest proposal would require a mini-bus.....or a warm-up run (like they don't do from AAMI to Gosch's at the moment....)

But a long way from where the ovals are supposed to be - right? I suspect the article may have got its "plots" a little mixed up....

I stood next to Ghosty for the last 3 minutes of the game, and offerred her a lift home, but she said she doesn't take lifts from track-watchers! I know she just wanted to be with Luker.....

Verrall didn't play - late out. Brown was solid, 18 disposals and a goal.

I was next to the cameramen - they said the players had to tell the umpires to wait for the signal from them before bouncing the ball. Blame the umpires.

That will be a while - Casey are going all the way (16 AFL listed players in tomorrow), with the VFL GF the Sunday after the prelims. We'll have a new coach by then.....

Probably a good thread to give today's training update. All present other than Liv Purcell (understandably). The rehabbers not able to do much were Lampard, B Mackin and Hose. Gillard continues her gentle straight-line running. Beasley doing more skills work with the others and Denby Taylor also more vigorous with her work. Colvin also getting closer. Goldy worked with the backs, but just helping out - no tackling for or of her - because of her shoulder. Don't have a report on how long she will be out. Two not in numbers I figured were Sophie Casey and Mekah Morrissey, both named on the extended bench. It will be interesting to see if Casey come sin given how many of our defenders are injured at the moment - and she used to play for Collingwood!

I'll be there. Should we win it is unlikely the next game will be at Casey because we will play the loser of the Footscray/Frankston Qualifying Final - so probably either the Whitten Oval or Frankston as those teams finished 1st and 4th.

R&B F - just a note that the games played have not updated - e.g. AJ and Hendo 5 each and Adams 1, Woey 21, etc...

He has a toe injury and is out for the season.

A cold blustery day at Gosch's - apologies from the Ghostwriter. All in attendance other than Liv Purcell and Sinead Goldrick. Rehabbing - Lampard (bandaged calf - grade 2 tear, 4-8 weeks), Gillard (brace off and doing some straight-line running, 5-7 weeks), D Taylor (4 weeks), Beasley (ACL, 8-10 weeks), B Mackin (knee brace on - grade 2 MCL tear, 10-12 weeks), Colvin (2 weeks) and Hose (LTI). Full session and match sim (involving a lot of coaches and staff, given our depleted numbers - 23 available this week) had commenced when we left. One all group announcement, which may have related to a train-on player - Ibrahim(?). Awaiting official news from the Club. We still have a decent side. See you all at Victoria Park on Sunday!

By the way - I am pretty sure it is Howes May is talking to - not Disco (as Caro thought) or Salem.....

Monteath was outstanding for Essendon against Casey in that game at Port Melbourne. Incredibly athletic and skillful - just needs to get fit - was having full body cramps by 3 QT. I'd be surprised if he did not land on a list....

There's a bit to play out before we know what our final hand of picks will be. I'll reserve judgement until then.

Different qualification rules being thrown about on this site. It would be helpful if the Club could clarify the situation on the website. More than a third of our list still having a crack in the "second"competition.

Just hope it doesn't clash with the women's game at Victoria Park on Sunday.....
