As a rule we lose these games. We did not play well but don’t be so high and mighty that you can’t enjoy a win in the last second. Ever heard of “winning ugly”? i was watching this with my kids and with 49 sec to go I suggested “never give up”...a great lesson for the kids and a WIN for the team.

What concerns me is the lack of enthusiasm particularly early in the game. The charter of a footy club is to win a flag. make no mistake , I am a huge Hogan fan, I want him to stay long term. however, we are dealing with professional footballers who are invested when they rolls the balls out. if we have retain Hogan for a year, win the flag and he goes so be it. but who ever we get whether it be May or picks will not see us closer to a flag.
