Quite a few 'experts' here tipped an easy Cats victory. It went down to the line. WE were close to winning. Are those experts prepared to acknowledge that they underestimated our team?

After they got on top in the third quarter, I wondered if we could get ourselves back into the game. I have hundreds of memories of us not getting back into the game in the past. I'm attributing the getting back into the game to the players and the coach. We almost stole it! What are the Trolls attributing our 4th qtr. comeback to?

Hard to read the garbage! We were in the game throughout. We gave ourselves a chance to win. We were the equal of the Cats, wherever they are ranked. It was a line ball in the final minute. Posters who are keyboard assassins need to take a breath before they post the bile. WE have a very competitive group right here, and the more games they play together the better they will be. Think about how long Ablett, Selwood, Hawkins and Danger have been playing. We are tracking in the right direction. I hate the venom, the knee-jerking and the abuse that the 'supporters' show here. Grow some, and watch the game for what it is worth... a dour struggle that was oh so close! Its a silly argument. Lyon, Nietz and Schwarz would need to adapt to play the modern game according to game plan and team values, but they were smart enough and athletic enough to manage that as well as anyone from their era. Jakovich ain't chasing anyone, and he may not fit into the modern game plan, however, he would still manufacture 10 shots at goal a game!

The AFL is so corrupt! Trying to cave in a bloke's ribs with an elbow draws a fine (because Jack is obviously a 'good bloke'). Compare this to the one match suspension May copped last year, ruling him out of round 1.

The sky is falling! (again)

Just a few observations after watching the first half again... (not to say these points applied to the second half!) McDonald played quite well. Jetta also managed to keep his Giant from doing any real damage (coaching masterstroke at that point!)

Round two just completed with a win, yet we have posters wanting to lynch the coach, swap one of our best for a 1st round pick, denigrate our VC with claims that he is not wanted as a leader, shoot our one true warrior for being 'past it' and drop a bloke who kicked 3 of our 7 goals. The cumulative effect is to paint a picture of a bunch of headless chooks!

Disappointed in McDonald... he gave us very little. Disappointed in Smith he made several poor decisions to fly without influencing the outcome. Disappointed in Fritsch conversion. Very happy with Rivers... a real draft find! Petracca the difference. Hunt and ANB justified selection. Very Happy that Harley got through game. Max was solid. Clayton was good. We need a key forward that can mark the ball.

Its a strange thing when AFL players have to keep stricter rules than the rest of society. I just picked up daughter from her train trip home, we then went to the IGA to stock up for tonight's game, joining several other people who were doing the same... all legal I believe!
