  2. You may be right, but here's a more complete picture that includes young players who seem to have a future 21 Jacob van Rooyen Blake Howes Taj Woewodin 22 Jud McVee Andy Moniz-Wakefield Mathew Jefferson Jed Adams
  3. Apparently they want Trac, a future first and tickets to the Olympics for their whole list! KC said Melbourne would be stupid to ignore this deal because our future first will probably want to go home immediately he finds out about our poor culture.
  4. The ground measured 142 x 155m fence-to-fence.
  5. Kane should leave SEN immediately! He will never be worth as much as he is now... I'm sure Adelaide Radio, 101.5, would put him on a contract just to shut him up!
  6. They lost me as soon as I got to "Kane Cornes said..."
  7. and so are you, it seems!
  8. So you'd be in your mid-thirties and enjoy the rural lifestyle...
  9. In the 35 games prior to the "All duck and no dinner" game, Langdon averaged 22 disposals per game. In the 35 games after that game, leading up to this year's QF against Collingwood, Langdon averaged 20 disposals per game. So the fact is he has been nearly as effective as he was before the comments were made and I think the effect of the comments has been grossly overstated in the Media. I suggest the slight drop in Langdon's average is related to the acquisition of Hunter and the alternative Hunter provides.
  10. Oh yes, Mr Ed is such a sensitive, new age guy, that he hasn't recovered from the angry response his comments elicited from Collingwood players and supporters... NOT! I fully expected that there would be some reference to the cutting of hair! Fact is, several umpires chose to ignore a physical attack that was outside the rules and bordered on reportable (Maynard).
  11. Sometimes a football team shows too much respect for an opponent. We have for Collingwood. It didn't work! Refreshing to do a little trash talking (cause that's all it is). Show some disrespect and don't be overawed!
  12. 6. Zanker 5. Gay 4. Goldrick 3. Hanks 2. B Mackin 1. McNamara
  13. The free kick against Goldy for a dangerous tackle 35 metres out from our goal (when she ran down the Adelaide player in a perfect tackle, carried forward by the opponent's momentum) was ridiculous, and revealed umpiring bias as clear as day!
  14. Oops... I saw Petty instead of Clarry
  15. The conjecture about Max throwing the toys out of the cot is hilarious! The notion that we lost out by recruiting Grundy is also laughable (unless we are talking about a monetary catastrophe, which I do believe has several stages to play out yet). We got a good player in the door. It wasn't the only reason we failed to win a final. I reckon some good may come of it before season 2024 gets under way!
  16. Magic Moments... Hill's mark Bailey's solo goal Cameron's run into goal square & goal
  17. That's at least 9 shots on goal with some physicality!
  18. 6. Hore 5. Hanks 4. Pearce 3. Mithen 2. Goldrick 1. Sheriff
  19. Under your proposed 6-5-4 system the top ten would have scored as follows, Neale 73 Bontempelli 65 Gulden 63 Petracca 62 N Daicos 61 Butters 60 Serong 53 Viney 51 Cripps 49 Anderson 46
  20. Melksham out for at least 10 months
  21. I have the following predictions for MFC Petracca 19 Oliver 15 Viney 11 Gawn 8 Petty, Melksham 3 May, Hunter 2 Pickett, Grundy, Fritsch 1
  22. I note that two of the umpires from our game against Carlton have been named as emergencies for the Prelims; 32 Mollison and, our mate, 22 Williamson. 21 Meredith and 27 Gianfagna have survived!
  23. You shouldn't have returned Jumbo!
  24. Poor form in an attempt to be funny! Dunstan played his first game for St Kilda against Melbourne in Round 1, 2014. He was awarded the AFL Rising Star nomination for his performance. Dunstan became an integral part of St Kilda's midfield over the course of 2014 before bowing out after round 19 for shoulder surgery. Following his last game in round 23, St Kilda icon and Dunstan's mentor Lenny Hayes handed his number 7 guernsey over to Dunstan. Soon afterwards, Dunstan signed a contract extension, keeping him at the Saints until 2017. Dunstan turned his back on a potential move home to South Australia after playing an important role in the Saints' climb to ninth in 2016. The 22-year-old averaged 17 disposals from 18 games in 2016, before being forced to undergo his second shoulder reconstruction in three years – but this time to his opposite (left) shoulder. In 2017, Dunstan signed a two-year contract extension with St Kilda to remain at the club until the end of 2019. Dunstan scored 11 votes in the Brownlow in 2021 to be St Kilda’s second highest vote getter behind Jack Steele. In 2022 he came to the Demons, and we were fortunate to have him. You know the rest!
  25. As this thread is titled, "Cool Light of Day", I thought it time to reflect on Goodwin's winning record since taking over amidst this episode of Knives Out! Home & Away = 60% Finals = 50%
