  1. A measured response, Turner, well done! D Smith was unfortunate to be poleaxed, and probably concussed, late in the game. Rosman finding it difficult to have an impact in recent games.
  2. Casey win by 11 points in trying circumstances to achieve something the senior team could not do last night. Casey remain undefeated in 2022. Its a crying shame that half this team will be delisted at year's end!
  3. As I have said previously, ummm! no... That's data, you do the analysis! Try to be open minded... NOTE: Yes I did cut and paste this response... it seems so much more efficient when dealing with almost identical sweeping criticisms!
  4. Ummm! No... That's data, you do the analysis! Try to be open minded...

  6. With every VFL game accessible on AFL live, I expected a much more enlightened analysis of our Casey players! Just a reminder... Casey are undefeated deep into the 2022 season!
  7. McVee is developing quite nicely, thank you, and Deakin Smith has done enough to stay on the list.
  8. Where are the umpires with balls? The Umpires Choir would be a thing to behold!
  9. yeah, nah... that was the best game I have seen Viney play!
  10. Some here speak go Majak as though he isn't capable of playing at the level. He isn't Max, but he isn't a novice! In 2017 for North he averaged 16 hit outs per game. In 2018 he played 18 games and averaged 12 disposals a game. He has played a total of 54 games and kicked 43 goals. Yes, I have selected the stats that are supportive to remind posters that he isn't an untried novelty!
  11. You obviously don't watch much VFL footy
  12. I don't know Majak's current status, but I have watched every VFL game this year and he generally dominates the tap outs, regularly takes pack marks and plays a decent four quarters. He looks very fit to me. I can't see why you would hold him back when he was recruited for this very reason!
  13. Its now so obvious... Goody subs the Captain out and we win!
  14. Rivers was excellent yesterday. He will come in... maybe for Turner (who I thought showed he can succeed at the level today) Dunstan (also unstoppable yesterday) for Sparrow May comes in for M Brown The rest is dependent on injuries (Petty again, Lever, Max) If Max has to rest there is only one viable replacement (if he is fit)
  15. May be the making of Daniel Turner!
  16. Is it possible that I (an MFC member who attends) am being scolded for poor attendance by someone who was not at the game?
  17. Do people think that there is likely to be a sudden surge at the turnstiles on the back of what Christian has said?
  18. I'll listen to the clip when you read and respond to my articles
  19. I think Christian's comments are an indication that he is open to the wider debate (beyond MFC). He is responding to the notion that overall crowd figures are down. He is giving the broad player perspective that big crowds fire up the players. He wants bigger crowds.
  20. Interesting article on this topic, pre-Covid - 2017 https://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-08-25/richard-hinds-agony-low-crowd-attendances-footy-codes/8839466 "Indeed, given global trends, perhaps the pertinent question is not why fewer people are attending games. It is why so many still do."
  21. I'm simply pointing out that, by comparison in this downturn of attendances (the reasons for which I have previously hypothesised), MFC is holding up well... Your serve Dr.
  22. So, your saying we're up over 500% since 1901?
  23. These are the 2022 attendance figures for Victorian clubs at home v Freo MFC 29812 Essendon 23935 Geelong 20136
  24. In our most recent post-Premiership year, 1965, our average MCG attendance was 38,928. This year, 2022, our average MCG attendance is 42,662. We continue to hold up well when the data is considered!
