Whateley is at it again on SEN this morning. Ran a long diatribe on the Petracca issue. Was adamant that MFC let Petracca and family down in the first weeks of ICU. I rang to try and respond but could not get through.

Are we making an assumption when we think that Pert and Roffey are on the same page?

I've attached a few videos to this thread to remind us about Kate Roffey's background and leadership style. They may be too long for the average punter to digest, but I think they give us some insight into her performance in her recent interview with Gerard Whateley. I don't expect anyone to change their mind about the interview, but supporters should not be surprised at how she responded. I read somewhere, quite some time ago, that Kate doesn't believe in relying on written notes when it comes to public speaking. She has trust in her ability to find the right words in responding in an honest and direct manner. It's obvious that this style didn't impress many when it came to the peppering that Whateley provided, but why would anyone be surprised by Kate's approach?

Here's what I can offer on each of them 1) "stand-off" is an accurate account of what is being suggested in media reports. She merely disagrees that it is a stand-off 2) I've highlighted her denial because that is a direct answer to your accusation. 3) That is simply a statement of fact. 4) What do you think she means by "media issues"? 5) Nowhere in the Kate's response, or in the response from anyone at MFC, has it been suggested that it is all a media issue. That was Gerard's summation. To deny that there is a media component that is complicating the matter of reconciliation between the Petracca camp and the MFC is silly. I don't think anyone is suggesting that the word 'media' can't be used in a discussion about what Christian is confronted with. Kossie is scary good in our team. We beat PA by 7 points earlier this year and they beat us by 2 in the return match. I don't see them as being far superior to us.

Even Gerard Whateley, with all his gravitas, failed to hear what Kate Roffey was actually saying! Post interview he immediately sprang to the conclusion that she was claiming that the whole issue was a media beat up. That served the narrative that he was looking for... Unfortunately, a very superficial analysis of her response to his Producer prepared questions.

Good old dazzle... I always know you will show up when faced with a narrative that doesn't support the barrow you're pushing! There are quite a few things that Morris has said that haven't been correct. Do your homework instead of desperately trying to prop up a position you have taken to appear knowledgeable. Would you like me to compile a list of all the things that Morris has put into print over the journey that were shown to be shoddy?
