  1. On a previous occasion, Gus revealed he was still experiencing difficulties with crowd noise… perhaps that has something to do with his departure
  2. I’m streaming the B&F. we are up to the long break for ‘mains’. Everyone that has spoken so far has made me proud to be a Demon supporter. This is, by far, the best B&F presentation I have watched. Those still looking to stick a fork in Kate, Pert or others are simply non-Melbourne people. These two demonstrated competence beyond what the detractors are capable of. Gus made it perfectly clear what it means to belong to a football team as great as ours! He also made it clear that we are far from a spent force!
  3. if I was Tom Morris… I’d get my teeth fixed and upgrade my wardrobe I’d be more respectful of women across the entire spectrum I’d suck up to my superiors (although this is sometimes difficult for a bloke like me ((Tom)) to acknowledge that I have superiors!) I’d trawl through club sites to find chinks I can exploit I’d make bold statements based on rumour and innuendo, but always insert an ‘out clause’ near the end of my report. I’d never reveal my sources, even if they don’t exist! I’d spend all my spare time ringing around to try and identify my next victim/exclusive/click/bait/hook/fake/controversy/… ( insert your own journalistic mumbo jumbo here….. ) I’d polish my smile and ramp up my smugness, then proceed to get in front of a camera and speak intensely about some poor soul whose vulnerability is not my concern!
  4. You sound exactly like Morris!
  5. If this comes through, Pert is a genius! Through his crafty manipulation of the variables, we keep a more contrite, four-time B&F, Clayton learns that the Football Dept backed him in, by refusing to sell the farm for $1 we [censored] Geelong off, we satisfy the Petracca family demands, we take immediate action on an internal review concern, and, umm... did I mention we [censored] Geelong off!
  6. Look who's back from trolling the AFLW thread with nasty little misogynist pot shots after their uplifting win tonight!
  7. Who gives a Fat Rats Clacker?
  8. "wounded and unsupported" or delusional? I think bing181 makes a very good point about the effect of Clayton's ADHD condition on all of this.
  9. Do you think someone from the Club should tell Kossie that Adelaide is 3,030 km from Darwin?
  10. Yeah, we don't know who is actually the cause, so let's sack them all... "She's a Witch!"
  11. You haven't really thought this through, have you!
  12. Not sure if this scenario has already been mentioned. Perhaps Clayton has fallen short of behaviours and targets set previously. Perhaps it was decided that he needs another reality check. Perhaps it was decided, internally, that the football department should remain vocal in their commitment to keeping Clayton (so as no fracture is created when he remains at MFC). Perhaps this is the reason that Pert is the selected 'negotiator'.
  13. Well , this is conclusive proof that Pert was on the grassy knoll in Dallas!
  14. Why would you walk away from a club that will do everything you ask of it!
  15. That's a surprise!
  16. I'm pretty sure Elon has taken control of Hawk's posts now, so Hawk can recover from the massive swing against him!
  17. That one time you were right!
  18. Gee, I wish we had Chris Scott as coach... hold on, what was that? Surely an AFL deep fake! He failed??? WTF, He was the best in the world just yesterday! Oh well, I'm pleased a former MFC employee brough him to his knees!
  19. Oh sh**!, Geelong! That's what happens when your list management puts too much emphasis on retaining the old crew instead of investing in youth. Chris Scott should be sacked immediately, along with the coaching panel and the entire Board!
  20. It's remarkable how those who are ultra critical of many hard working, dedicated MFC employees become extremely sensitive to the slightest criticism of their point of view!
  21. Seems like picket's reading of a game is as bad as his understanding of list management!
  22. better read more carefully... there's still hope for you! "MFC list management has been very good in recent times. It was pivotal in breaking the drought. It has kept us in top four contention up to the final rounds of 2024. That's not to say it has been perfect, but credit where credit is due would make your concerns much more relevant/readable!"
  23. The problem with this type of analysis of list management is that the player motives and opposition club enticements are never factored in. It's a very simplistic view that can be summarized as... "Jordan showed signs of being a good AFL player... MFC list management didn't see his worth... Club shipped him out to first buyer that kicked his tyres!" There are many other considerations when it comes to list management in the 'Cap' years! Every other club would have similar stories to tell about the ones that got away as they try to crystal ball future list improvements/team balance. MFC list management has been very good in recent times. It was pivotal in breaking the drought. It has kept us in top four contention up to the final rounds of 2024. That's not to say it has been perfect, but credit where credit is due would make your concerns much more relevant/readable!
