The biggest threat to MFC Culture is coming from outside the club. It is nurtured by supporters who willingly buy in to the Media narrative. Tom Morris went as far as to call for our President's resignation on the back of his premise that she had not spoken to Christian since the injury. We know now, from Christian's own recollection on July 1st, that this premise was not the case. Do you expect Morris to acknowledge that he jumped to a conclusion?

Whatever she did or didn't do, Christian makes it quite clear that it was appreciated! No hint here of him being disappointed by the response!

One of the major criticisms directed at Kate Roffey after yesterday's interview by Whateley, was that she hadn't contacted Christian Petracca after his operation. I think that criticism can now be retracted. This won't be the only retraction from the firestorm that followed the interview.

In the video of the interview, "A sit down with Christian Petracca" posted on the official MFC site on July 1st, at the 2:25 minute mark Christian clearly outlines the support he got from Kate Roffey and the Club and the players post-Op. He also makes it abundantly clear that he was overwhelmed by that response!

It's my belief that Kate Roffey was responding to a question about whether she has spoken to Christian about his desire to leave MFC when she responded that she hadn't.

The transcript Demon Dynasty provided is legit and was taken from an interview with Christian, conducted on July 1st I think, and is freely available as "A sit down with Christian Petracca" posted on MFC's official site one month ago. It is also available on YouTube.

I'd like to know, as well.

This is not the first time Tom Morris has gone after an MFC identity. He seems to have an axe to grind, and I think we know why!

I got the impression that Kate Roffey was very careful to protect Petracca in a number of her responses to Whately's questions. She was determined not to offer any information that would compound the difficulties Christian is obviously facing at present.

His head has grown so big now it's about to explode! What right does this excuse for a sports journalist have to call for the sacking of an AFL Club President?

Thought she handled the interrogation with courage and aplomb. Did not deviate from the reality or the truth. Far more convincing than several AFL leaders. Get off her back charlatans! Support the club, don't be part of the problem!

Isn't it odd that no one talks about Hawthorn's club culture anymore... even though that nasty issue beginning with R hasn't been resolved fully. Oh yeah, that's right, they're in the finals and are currently everyone's (read AFL & Media) darling!

Nibbler has made his reasons for leaving explicit, along with saying "If I could move the whole club to Adelaide with me I would", although he did add a post script along the lines of, "just don't let WERRIDEE cross the border!"
